“Oh my god, my head!” I screamed as I woke up. I was in Kellin’s room right now.
“Tsk, tsk, now you know how it feels” he replies and tosses me a bottle of pain killers.
I chugged down a couple and stumbled in the shower. Today was Melanie’s mom’s birthday and I can’t have her thinking that her daughter’s friend is some drunken idiot. The cold water woke me up for sure, but that didn’t stop the pounding headache. After showering, I put on a pair of jeans, put on my shoes, and tumbled back to Kellin’s room.
“Hey I was gonna wear that!” He was referring to the Ramones shirt I was holding.
“I know you love me so shush” I reply and put it on.
I waited for him outside – coffee would be really great right now. Soon, Kellin comes out holding the gift and some keys. I turn my head and I see mom left the pickup truck. It wasn’t the best truck in the world, but we love it.
“I’m guessing mom and Dave’s already there, so that just leaves us” Kellin starts.
“Blah, I hate hang over” I moaned and laid my head down on the window.
The truck roars to life and he drives off. Melanie’s place wasn’t too far away so we made it just in time. Mrs. Clearwater’s really nice and as Carly said she’s really fun. Mom, Dave, the guys, and the girls we’re all here too. It was really awkward with Melanie, Chris, and Joan (Mrs. Clearwater) at first, but she ended up approving of their relationship.
She found me really cool too and I just really loved her spontaneous personality. Mom and Dave had to leave an hour later but I don’t know when mom’s coming home since she had a bag with her.
For this year’s party Joan had a bunch of water guns and had a water war. BEST. MOM. EVER. I wish my mom was like that, but she’s always so busy. After the water war, Kellin and I decided to leave since we’d probably get sick from the cold.
We make it home by 6:30 and got into some dryer clothes. But this whole time, I’ve been wondering who that guy was from the club. It can be anyone really, but who? Gosh, I’m so curious.

Lunch ~
During second period, Kellin texted saying that he and the guys are getting out early to get us lunch; it better be McDonalds. At the moment, I’m walking to Carly and the others who were waiting at the usual spot. Mark passes by and mumbles something.
“What?”
“I said, you have great hips”
“What are you talking about?”
“Saturday night at the club, you didn’t know it was me? Shocker”
“Th- tha – that was you!?” I stammered and he nods, I pull him to the side.
“Yeah, and I must admit you have some groove going there” he winks.
“I was drunk, how was I supposed to know?”
“True you were and I could’ve easily taken advantage of you, but I didn’t.” His voice was sincere, but for all I know he could just be pretending.
He clears his throat. “Now let’s make a deal, I won’t tell Kellin or your friends that you pretty much grinded on me, in exchange for a date”
“First of all, I didn’t grind on you. Second of all, what makes you think I’m going on a date with you?!”
“Well, if I’m right, my friend Scott caught us on video and when I watched it, it seems as if you just let it happen. So the date?”
