I didn’t realize the party was this big, I thought it would just be puny get together between the guys and the girls, but what the hell there’s like a two hundred people in here. It’s currently 9 p.m. about half an hour since the party started, people still are piling. Pff, where is Mark.
“Hey I think Mark’s over there?”
“Gah, you dick, glad you made it!” I hug Mark and he hugs back.
“Thought I wouldn’t be here?”
“Yeah…” I admit.
“Doing this for you okay? I’m going to bear with the death glares from your little friends.”
Aww how cute. I plan to stay sober for tonight, for one thing there’s Kellin who’s probably getting wasted right now and will be needed a designated driver. And another thing is, I just want to live… I think the Leukemia got worse because this morning I accidentally cut my finger and it took me forever to patch it up.
“Hey, Shannon Benson’s here” Mark points out.
Holy fuck she is, and she’s dancing with Isaac? What the hell? “I didn’t know Isaac was invited”
“I didn’t either” Mark chuckled; it’s weird that I find that sexy.
“Want a drink?” I ask, holding up a cup.
“You didn’t drug this did you” He raises an eyebrow at me and smirked.
“Shut up and take it” I sneered. I look over to Kellin, holy shit.
It’s hasn’t even been one hour and he’s already dancing on a table. I face palmed and Mark chuckles.
The night turned out pretty well. Mark and I found the guest room and just hung out – NO, WE DID NOT MAKE OUT OR HAD SEX. We seriously just hung out, and I’m still permitted to the fact that he just sees me as a friend since he brought up that senior girl again.
“So how about you Valentine, has anyone in Shadow Ridge taken to your liking?”
“Eh no not really, I mean, the guys are really kind and cute but I just – yeah no one caught my attention yet.” I rush out.
I’ve seriously got to quit blabbing next time. Mental face palm.
“What? No way, not even one, not even a crush?”
“I’m not kidding” I laugh out.
My phone beeps – Mom.
“Sweetie, please get home safely with Kell, okay?”
Course mom, why wouldn’t I?
“I know, I’m sorry, it’s just you both go out a lot lately… ah, what am I saying, I was just like you both”
Oh mom, but don’t worry too much. Is Dave there?
“Yeah he is, we’re watching a movie”
Aww, but don’t wait up okay, I don’t know what time we’ll be home
“Alright, take care sweetie, I love you (:”
We will, I love you too mom (: !
I look up and there’s Mark staring. It wasn’t a sexy, cute, or awkward. It was more like so-who-texted-you kind of stare
