Here's Chapter Ten, enjoy ^_^

Crap, I had work today and I overslept. I rushed everything: my showering, my outfit, and my repacking. I quickly say goodbye to Carly who was half awake and ran for it. I had five minutes to get to work – thankfully it was just close by. I made it! YES! I barge in through the door and clocked in.

“Hey, just in time” Grace says and pats my back.

“I’m sorry, I was at a sleep over and I slept in”

“Ah the teenage life, it’s alright, just come help me organize some stuff.”

The day’s slow, but entertaining. People occasionally came in and out, but eh. My phone beeps – Mom.

“Sweetie, coming home late, the board meeting’s just out of control at the moment, just order some take out, okay?”

“Yes mom, and good luck! (:”

“Aww thank you sweetheart”

“Anytime mom”

I scroll down and I see an unread message from Mark – Mark: 6:15 a.m. Okay who the hell wakes up that early and in the weekends?! Anyways I opened it:

“Morning Beautiful, last night was great, hope we can hang out again (:”

Oh my god, I’m so sorry, I just read this

“Hey you’re alive! But it’s alright, so how’s you?”

At work, and you?

"Out with the guys, mind if I drop by?"

Just then the door swings open to render Kellin. Unless you want Kellin to kick your ass then sure ;) ;)

“Your brother couldn’t touch me even if he tried babe”

Yeah keep dreaming, anyways gotta go, text me later (:

“Bye babe (:”

“Who are you texting?” Kellin asks, a bit chary.

“Carly’s just checking up, why are you here?”

“It’s five o’ clock” he says pointing at the clock.

“Oh crap, bye Grace!”

“Bye kid!”

Kellin grabs my bag as I clocked out. I say goodbye one more time and we leave. I tell him that mom won’t be home, so we just drove off to a diner and ate there. Kellin seems out of it, hmm I wonder?

“Kellin, what’s wrong?”

“Oh nothing…”

“Tell me”

“It’s this whole unemployment thing” I knew it.

“Oh about that Grace told me that they had openings at this casino, so if you want you can –“
