Kellin and I were taking the truck as the others had their own rides. I place the little Polaroid picture on the dashboard and leaned back on my seat. I turn my head to Kellin who was very focused on driving.
“Why are you staring?” he sniggered.
“Your face, when you focus, it’s funny”
“Douche”
“I’m not kidding, it’s like you’re trying to holding back a laugh or something!”
“Ah shut up or you’re walking”
“I love you too”
He pinches my leg in response.
He parks the truck and we got down. As I’ve expected the senior girls were dressed up in lingerie, how is that even considered a costume? I wonder how their parents feel >.> Carly pokes me with her pitch fork and then hugged Jordan. I see that the girls were doing the same so I hugged Kellin too.
“Smile!” this girl says and snaps the Polaroid four times.
Though the flash was nearly blinding, the photos turned out really nice. Except for Melanie and Chris’ poses they were doing some really slutty poses which made me laugh so much.
“Come on guys, party time!” Lance yells and they took off.
“Does the angel wish to be carried?” Kellin asks.
“Oh fuck yeah”
I didn’t feel lazy or anything, I just really didn’t like walking in general. I jump on Kellin’s back and he starts walking towards the courtyard. We go in; music is blasting, a fog machine’s set up, there are multiple colored lights, photo booths, food booths, games, and so much more. I see Bela walk up to the mic and she receives a great amount of claps.
“Welcome to the Junior-Senior Halloween Party!”
People cheered she waits for them to die down. “Alright, food, drinks, games are available, oh and the awareness booth is right there.” She points to it. “Now, let’s party!!!”
A drum rolls and the school band plays. It surprises me that there’s no alcohol, but I have a feeling there will be since there are no teachers around or maybe there are. I tell Kellin that I’m going to the Awareness Booth and he goes off to join Lance and the others.
“Ah, Ms. Valentine, looking decent I see”
“Oh my god, Mr. Garrison, hi, surprised to see you here”
“Walker and I are some of the teachers who are supervising, can’t have pregnant girls running around can’t we?” we both laugh. “So what can I do for you?”
“Cancer Awareness?”
“Oh yes! You can get your blood tested too, you know if you have cancer or any types of diseases”
“How does it work?”
“Well you fill this out, we prick your finger, blood in this vile, and we ship it off. You wait for two weeks for the results and they mail it to yah.”
“Oh okay then I’m in!”
He smiles and hands me the form. I start filling it out. I’m not sick or anything, but it’ll never hurt to check. For all I know I could have HIV or something – okay knock on wood. I finished and Mr. Garrison pokes my finger with a needle. A few drops of blood were put in the vile and in to a giant envelope.
