“Kat?”

“What happened?” I mumble back.

“You fainted” Kellin explains.

“Maybe just tired from today”

But no I wasn’t tired at all, in fact I had so much energy – but who knows I mean my body and mind doesn’t really see eye to eye.

“I hope so, here” he gives me some pain killers.

“Did you call mom?” I ask.

“No, didn’t wanna ruin her time by worrying about you.”

“Good, she needs a break.” I smiled and sat up.

“Sleep in my room tonight, there’s air con.”

“Aww you’re so kind to me.”

“Of course I am, thirty seconds remember?” he bantered.

“You’re forever going to use that against me, are you?”

“Pff, hell yeah I am.”

I woke up with Kellin’s leg on my stomach and arm draped over my face. Okay, I don’t even want to know how that happened. I roused him up as well and we got ready for school. We enter mom’s place and well she isn’t home yet – figures, she must’ve had a great night. We showered and got ready – today I didn’t feel like wearing anything that exposed more than ten percent of my body so I stuck with the sweater.

“Hurry, we’re gonna miss the bus!” I say while picking up my bag.

“Dude, it’s like 7 in the morning, chill the fuck out.” Kellin chuckled.

“So wanna walk to school instead?”

“Eh, why not”

***

“Oh dude, got a job application” I say. We were half way to school now.

“Woah, really, that’s really cool, now it’s my turn to get one.” he looks down.

“No need to be ashamed Kellin.” I patted his back.

“I know but you and mom are gonna be working while I slack my ass off, it just doesn’t feel right”

“Shut up Kell, you worked your ass off for as last year so I guess this is just a break for you”

“Eh, whatever. I’m still getting a job.”

We make it to school by 8 a.m.; Carly and the others were already here so I departed with Kellin and went to them. “Dude, can we get breakfast I’m starving” I griped. They just laughed at my pain; still we went to the cafeteria. Pancakes and bacon, oh yes! I wolfed mine down in under ten minutes and sorta felt ashamed because I burped so loud.
