Peter nodded his head to Mr. Blue Sky, his pencil scraping against his paper. School was going pretty well, except for Flash and his friends. One of his friends was a kid named Wade Wilson.

Wade had seemed pretty nice. He usually stayed out of fights, and disliked that Flash would hurt Peter. He was a grade above Peter, and much taller.

"Oww," Peter rubbed his head, upset that he was used to this feeling. He sat in the quiet bathroom, curled up against the wall. He wished he didn't exist, so he wouldn't have to be tormented anymore.

"Hey," A voice announced, causing Peter to curl into a ball. "Please don't hurt me-"

"Hey, I'm not gonna hurt you." The deep voice said, walking over to Peter. Peter looked up nervously, still holding his head. He took his hand away, noticing there was a small bit of blood on it. His fast healing made the bleeding quickly stop, however.

"You okay?" Wade asked, sitting down beside Peter. Peter nodded, rubbing his eyes. There was a bit of an awkward silence. "Shut up, he's not even gay." Wade mumbled under his breath to no one, but Peter didn't question.

"Why are you even talking to me?" Peter grumbled. "I thought you hated me."

"Why would you think that?"

"You know, you're always hanging out with Flash-"

"So? We've just been friends for years, I can't leave him. I know he can be- well, terrible, but he's not as bad as he seems. He has a soft side."

Peter looked away, taking a deep breath.

"Come on, get up." Wade stood up, holding out his hand for Peter. The younger teen grabbed his hand, standing up. He sucked in a breath as he stood up, a pain shooting through his leg.

"Hey, just relax for a bit."

"Peter,"

The teen flinched, snapping out of his trance. "Uh, hey dad," He said, erasing the nonsense he wrote on his page.

"What's up? You got a lot of homework or something?"

"Wh-" Peter's eyes shifted to his phone, which read "6:35 P.M." and a bunch of snaps from Michelle. "Oh. Guess I blanked out."

"Alright, when you finish your work, come down and eat. Thor cooked, so, uh, we ordered pizza again. Ignore that burning smell."

Peter slightly chuckled. "I'm not hungry."

Tony sighed, not believing him. "Okay.. I'll be in the lab if you need me." He then left, leaving Peter with his homework. He finished quickly, now that he was focused.

That week in school proved to be one of the worst yet. Flash didn't seem like he'd be getting over Peter "stealing" Wade any time soon. This, of course, caused more pain for the teen. Ned and MJ seemed more distant as well. Whenever he'd ask to hang out, they would have an excuse.

The only source of light was Wade.

All hope relied on Wade.

Peter was fascinated by him. He was an incredible person, and helped Peter through rough patches in his life. He even tried to get Flash to stop bullying Peter, but, we all know how that went.

Finally, Friday came, but it wasn't painless. Peter stumbled up from his resting position, rubbing his forehead.

"Did Wade already leave?" He whispered to himself, limping out of the bathroom.

"Hey, baby boy-" Wade smirked, standing outside of the bathroom, holding a box.

Peter yelped, nearly falling backwards. He put a hand on his chest, trying to catch his breath. "Oh my God, Wade."

"Oh, I'm so sorry!" Wade said, his smile fading. He placed his arm around Peter worriedly. "Flash again?"

"Who else would it be?" Peter sadly joked, rubbing his eye and slightly wincing at the pain. Great, another black eye.

"Uh, I got you this." Wade moved his arm away, handing Peter the box.

"What is it?"

"Wouldn't wanna spoil it for the readers- I mean, just open it." Wade held back a laugh.

Confused, Peter stared at Wade, then at the box. He opened it to see a TON of chocolate and a note. Smiling, he took the note out, reading it out loud.

"There was no other purpose to this note than to waste paper. Happy Hanukah."

Peter let out a painful laugh, beaming. "Wade, this is too much chocolate. Are you trying to make me fat?"

"Well, you weigh about four pounds, so yes. And there's never enough chocolate."

Peter grinned, hugging Wade. "Thank you."

Wade hugged back, but broke away after a few seconds. "You should get home."

"Oh- right."

The taller teen led Peter out of the building, while Peter continually thanked him.

"What was this even for?"

"Uh, Hanukah."

"Wade- it's October."

"Close enough."

They parted ways, and Peter found Tony in his car, impatiently waiting. Peter's black eye had already mostly healed, but he was still in pain. He got in the car, holding the box.

"What's that box?" Tony questioned, confused as to why Peter was smiling like a dork.

"Nothing."
