"Hey, Peter!" That was the strangest noise Peter had heard all month. It was coming from MJ's mouth, and both her and Ned looked excited to see him. This was weird.

Peter wasn't going to be rude, so he said simply said "Hey," while shoving things in his locker.

"So, uh, Ned wanted to know if you could come over to his house later. To work on-"

"On homework.... for school." Ned cut her off, obviously anxious. Okay, this was really weird.

"Uhh," Peter thought to make sure he wasn't doing anything that day. "Sure!"

"Cool-" Ned's voice cracked, and MJ shoved him. "Later loser." They then left, and Peter watched MJ angrily whisper something at Ned. That was really weird.

Matter of fact, this whole day had been weird for Peter. Kids were.. ignoring him. They would just look at him and look away. They wouldn't even pick on him. What the hell was going on?

Last period, Peter sat at his desk, only a few minutes left of school. He spun his pencil and rapidly tapped his foot on the cold tiles. The bell soon rang, and students sprinted and shoved themselves out of class.

Peter managed his way outside, finding a less busy exist. He waited for Ned and MJ after texting Tony to tell him where he was going. After a while, Ned and MJ walked outside, and they began to walk to Ned's house.

Peter's eyes widened as he saw the huge figure which was in front of Ned's lawn. He couldn't help but laugh.

"Ned-" He choked out. "What- is that a lego Spiderman?"

Ned and MJ suddenly burst out in laughter as well. "Yeah!" Ned exclaimed from the laughs.

"Dude- we're so sorry we haven't been talking to you. We were trying not to spoil this, and it took WAY too long, considering Ned knocked it over like three times."

"It's true." Ned grinned.

"I," Peter said, finally able to breathe. "This is great. Thank you guys so much." That's when his arm was abruptly grabbed by Ned's hand and led towards Ned's house.

"Come on, loser, hurry up," MJ smiled. Ned opened the door and revealed all of Peter's classmates- even Flash. All of them were there- for Peter. Peter honestly had no clue what was going on and why it was going on. They yelled— something, Peter couldn't hear. Too loud. He looked to Ned, cocking his head.

"Happy- uh- late birthday??" Ned said. "Dude- I'm sorry we were ignoring you so much. We've been planning this for so long. It was actually supposed to be on your birthday.. last year.. but we knocked the lego statue over a lot and everyone cancelled. So uh- surprise?" Ned was a bit anxious. He hoped Peter actually enjoyed it. He knew Peter must've been mad, considering he'd been left alone by him and MJ for months.

"I-" Peter started, a smile growing on his face. "This is great. I mean- you did all this for me. I- I don't really know how to react." That's when he saw Wade on Tony's shoulders as Tony tried to shake him off. Peter's eyes suddenly widened. He didn't think Tony would like Wade very much, considering he made quite a lot of sexual innuendos and commented about Peter's butt too much.

Peter awkwardly waved at the two of them, and Wade hopped off Tony's back. Peter took a deep breath as he walked towards them. Tony's irritated frown turned to a smile as he saw the kid. "Hey Pete!" Tony gestured for him to walk over. Wade was excitedly grinning as well, holding something in his hand. Peter was still in shock when he walked over.

"Da-" He realized there were people who could hear him. "Mr. Stark, this is the strangest that's ever happened to me and I don't know how to feel." Tony simply laughed, ruffling the kid's hair. "So- who's this?" He gestured to Wade. Peter was about to reply when Wade interrupted him.

"Yo, Petey!" Wade exclaimed. He held out a box with a wrapper that was simply white with a smiley face that was drawn with a pen. Peter hesitantly took it, tilting his head. He opened it, revealing a small cactus. He smiled, and his smile soon turned into a laugh.

"Wade- you got me a cactus?"

"Yeah, I thought the readers would find this funny. The author is just now realizing this isn't funny at all and should delete this story."

Tony shot Wade a confused glance, although Peter found this normal.

"Thanks, Wade," Peter smiled. For the first time in... what seemed like forever, Peter was happy. He was genuinely happy. I mean, he did witness Tony trip Flash, so that was pretty cool too. Life was good.
