Peter snored softly, curled up in bed. Tony had carried him upstairs after the previous night so that he wouldn't wake up with a stiff neck the next morning. Peter twitched, a sudden ringing appearing in his head. Soon, his eyes shot open, seeing Bruce trying to sneak into his room.
"Dang it," Bruce whispered. "Tony wanted me to scare you.. sorry." He awkwardly chuckled. Peter smiled tiredly, rubbing his eyes.
"It's okay, Uncle Bruce," Peter said quietly, sitting up in bed and stretching. "Why did he want me up so early?"
Before Bruce could respond, Tony entered, smiling. "Did you scare him?"
"No," Bruce laughed.
"Damn, that's a shame." Tony sighed, smirking. "Alright, Pete, get dressed."
"What- why?"
"We're going to talk to your principal, remember?"
Peter groaned, lying back down and getting under the covers. "Why do I have to come? I thought you were going by yourself."
"Nope, you're coming too." Tony stated. "Bruce, is Steve up?"
"Uh," Bruce stopped staring at Tony and ran his fingers through his hair. "Yeah, I think so."
"Alright, good. Get ready, Pete."
Tony left, leaving Peter to come out of his blanket cocoon and yawn. Bruce walked over to the teen, ruffling his hair before leaving. Peter smiled, fixing his hair and getting out of bed. He threw on a T-Shirt which read "I make horrible science puns, but only periodically." and jeans with converse. He trudged to the bathroom, brushing his teeth and gelling his hair. He noticed he was beginning to gain weight, which was definitely a good sign.
Peter ran downstairs, seeing the only person in the living room was Scott.
"Hey, Pete!" Scott exclaimed, putting the remote on the couch and standing up. He was clad in an oversized gray T-Shirt and blue pajama pants, and looked tired. He still got up to hug Peter, tousling the teen's hair.
"Hey Uncle Scott-" Peter laughed, trying to get away from him. "I just gelled it!"
Scott finally let go, smiling. "It looks better now."
Peter jokingly groaned, turning to see what Scott was watching. "The Office-"
"Not important. Wanna see something cool?"
Peter grinned. "Heck yeah?"
"Hey, watch your language, Steve might be right around the corner."
"Heck?-"
Scott grabbed him, shushing him while trying not to laugh. Peter burst out in laughter, causing Scott to do so as well. Scott led the teen outside, taking something circular from his pocket and a toy truck out as well.
"What's that for?" Peter asked, smiling. Scott only smirked, handing Peter the truck.
"I'm gonna throw this, and you have to throw the truck at it and move back, okay?"
"Okay!" Peter nodded excitedly. Scott threw the disc and Peter threw the truck at it, immediately jumping back. He flinched as he watched the truck grow much bigger, his eyes wide. He soon began to grin brightly, confused yet intrigued.
"That... was so cool!!" He exclaimed, bouncing up and down. "Does the car work? How did you-"
"No questions, it's magic." Scott smiled, lifting Peter above his head and carrying him back inside. They were faced by Tony and Steve who was angry about being woken up. There was no reason for him to come other than Tony wanting him there.
"Let's go kids," Tony smirked. "And Scott, stop poisoning my child's mind."
Scott laughed, putting Peter back down.
In the car, they all sang along to Mr. Blue Sky on repeat.
"Do I have to go in?" Peter groaned as they arrived at the school. His stomach was twisting, signaling this wasn't going to go well.
"Yup." Tony stated, and Peter trudged out of the car. The three males walked inside school, and minutes later they were at the principal's office.
Peter sat outside for most of the time, rubbing his forehead. He heard talking inside, and he tapped his foot to distract himself. Tony sounded angry from what he could make out, but he was trying to contain himself. The teen sighed, looking down and tapping his fingers on his thighs. "They're forming in straight line.. They're going through a tight wind.." Peter hummed, bored. He soon looked up, seeing Tony.
"Come in, kid." Tony said quietly. The teen reluctantly got up, mumbling "My head hurts."
He listened to Tony and the principal bicker before the principal made a phone call. He couldn't even hear what he was saying from the ringing in his ears.
"Peter, you alright?" Steve asked quietly. Peter could hardly hear him, and only nodded.
Someone else entered the room, and Peter turned to see who it was.
The one and only Flash Thompson.
The principal asked Flash if what Tony and Steve were telling him was true. He seemed pretty nervous, and the fact that two Avengers were there wasn't helping.
"I never bullied him, I swear! I hardly even know his name." Flash said. Peter didn't respond- he didn't want to. He didn't understand how this week could get any worse. Tony continued to argue with him, pushing for Peter to talk more.
This discussion lasted for a long while longer and ended with Flash getting only two days of suspension.
Tony walked out furiously, sitting in the passengers seat. Peter flopped into the back seat and Steve began to drive.
"That wasn't as satisfying as I wanted it to be." Tony grumbled. He looked back at Peter, seeing him with a red face and tired eyes. "Sorry for dragging you into this, Pete."
The teen simply looked up, smiling slightly.
Steve put on Despacito in the car.
