Tony was the happiest that anyone had ever seen him. He woke up, voluntarily, at seven A.M. After his morning coffee, he woke up Peter for school.

Peter, however, wasn't having the best time of his life. After Winter break, Flash had been even more cruel to him. He wasn't looking forward to this year at all. Over the past few school days, his mental health had been decreasing. Of course, he wouldn't tell his dad this.

"Peter, wake up," Tony kissed his kid's forehead, causing Peter to stir in bed.

"Ugh.." He groaned, opening his eyes. "Five more minutes.."

"No, Peter it's already pretty late. Come on, you can work with me in my lab after school."

It was tempting, but Peter would do anything to not go to school. "Can I just stay home today?"

Tony chuckled. "Wake up, it'll be fine. It's almost Saturday, then you'll get to sleep as much as you want. Hurry up and get dressed." Tony ruffled the teen's hair and then left, causing Peter to sigh. Oh, if Tony only knew.

Peter got ready and left for school. School was just getting worse and worse. Ned and MJ had only had short conversations with him, and it felt like they were hiding something. Wade was still nice to him and a good friend, however Peter always felt like he was alone. Like he was trapped.

Peter's day was actually going okay. He thought Flash would leave him alone, since it was already last period. He was wrong.

"Hey, Penis!"

Very wrong.

"Leave me alone, Flash." Peter mumbled, trying to exit the mostly empty school. Flash grabbed Peter's wrist, turned him to face him, and punched him in the face, leaving him stumbling backwards and with a bruise.

"Flash, please not today.." He muttered, struggling to not fall to the ground. He had tears in his eyes, he was just so sick of this.

"Aw, is Penis gonna cry?" Flash taunted, shoving Peter to the ground. Peter groaned, clenching his teeth. "Who are you gonna go cry to, your dead aunt?" Flash laughed, kicking Peter before leaving.

That comment hurt more than the physical pain. He tried his hardest not to break down into sobs. He still missed May, he always would. But, he had to fight through it. He wiped his tears and painfully stood up, limping out of the building.

Peter found his dad's car, and saw Steve in the passenger's seat. He opened the door to the back seat, keeping his head down so Tony and Steve wouldn't see his bruises.

"Hey kid, how was school?" Tony asked, looking back at him.

Peter faked a happy voice and responded "School was good."

Steve raised an eyebrow, whispering something to Tony.

"Oh-" He responded, looking back at Peter. "You okay?"

"Yeah, fine." Peter said, still not looking up at Tony. The man sighed and continued driving.

That was until he heard a quiet, muffled sob coming from the back. Tony pulled over the car, looking back at Peter. The teen quickly wiped his eyes, cursing under his breath.

"Pete, look at me." Tony said, but Peter shook his head. "Peter."

"Pete, we already saw the bruise on your face." Steve added.

Peter sighed, hesitantly looking up at the two.

"Peter-" Tony started, but was cut off by Peter apologizing.

"Dad, I'm really sorry- I just didn't want you to know because I- you know- I just- you were so happy! And- and I didn't want to bother you with my problems so I thought I could wait to tell you and- and I'm really sorry dad please don't be mad-" The teen rambled, crying between words.

"Peter, it's okay, calm down!" Tony tried to relax the teen as he panicked.

"Take a deep breath, kid, alright?" Steve told Peter. Peter nodded, inhaling.

"Now exhale."

Peter did as instructed.

"Better?"

"Y-yeah." Peter muttered, although there were still tears pouring down his face. He wiped the tears from his pale face.

"You should've told me it was still this bad, Pete. You're the most important person in my life, no offense Steve, and I care about you so much." Tony said softly. The teen only nodded.

"Let's get home."

"...Can we get McDonald's?"
