Tony had always been paranoid. He had been through a lot in his life. However, he had never been paranoid around Steve. Steve was like a beam of light in his life, and he thought he could trust him. But, recently, he wasn't so sure about this.

It was another restless night for Tony. He tossed and turned in bed, trying to make out what Steve was saying and who he was talking to. Tony had his suspicions, but wasn't sure. He shut his eyes anxiously, forcing himself to go to sleep.

The next morning, Steve was in bed, softly snoring. Tony truly loved this man. He loved how soft his blonde hair was, and his comforting blue eyes, and his soothing voice, and how overall marvelous he was. He wanted to trust him, he really did. Except he wasn't sure if he could.

Tony got out of bed, looking out the window. It was December 17th, and it certainly looked like it. There was large piles of snow outside of his window, and children playing flooded his eyesight. It was Friday, which meant he had to drop off Peter at school. He yawned, rubbing his eyes before walking out of his bedroom.

He knocked on the bedroom of his adopted son before entering. He saw Peter sat on his bed, clothes scattered all over the bed. He was folding a green sweater.

"Morning, Pete." Tony walked over to the thin teen, hugging him from the side. Peter snuggled into his father's warm embrace, smiling. "G'morning, dad." He whispered, obviously exhausted.

"How come you're not dressed?" Tony asked, smiling softly at the teen.

"School got cancelled," The curly haired boy said. "It's unsafe to drive or something."

"Good, I'm too tired to drive. What's all this?"

"It's Loki's birthday." Peter grinned, hesitantly breaking away from the hug. He shivered, putting the sweater in a box.

"Oh, God, it is?" Tony rubbed his forehead. He had bad memories about what Loki had done.

"What? He's nice." Peter smiled innocently, getting up. He got a box with something in it, a bag, and tissue paper.

"To you he is," Tony mumbled. He kissed Peter's forehead, walking away from the room. "I'm making breakfast, come down if you want." Peter nodded to which Tony left.

Peter walked out of his room, holding a bag and a box. The teen tip-toed to the room Loki was sleeping in, seeing him cuddling his pillow. He smiled, poking him on the cheek.

Loki shifted, his eyes slowly opening and glowing green. "Puny mortal, you will learn to pay for waking me- holy son of Odin, Peter, it's just you."

Peter's eyes were wide and he slowly backed away. Loki quickly got up from bed, getting out and hugging Peter. "I didn't mean to scare you, Peter." Loki softly laughed, and Peter let out a breath.

"Sorry for waking you, but, uh- happy birthday!" Peter said quietly, holding out the gifts. Loki let go of Peter, smiling. "You didn't have to, but thank you."

Loki opened the box first, seeing the sweater. It was dark green and read "Mischief" on the front in bold letters. Loki smirked, slightly chuckling. "Thank you, I'll make sure to wear this today."

"Open the next one!" Peter exclaimed, giddy. Loki did as Peter requested, taking a box out of the bag. It was a green bottle of eau de toilette with a gold horned helmet. Loki couldn't help but laugh.

"Where did you even find this?"

"Hot Topic.."

Loki smiled softly, patting Peter on the head. "Thank you, Peter." Peter grinned, running out of the room and downstairs. Loki put on the sweater and then screamed at Thor to get up.

"Hey, Steve?"

"Oh, g'morning hun, I made breakfast." Steve was in the kitchen flipping pancakes and wearing a pink apron.

Tony fake pouted. "I wanted to make it, you're so mean sometimes."

Steve simply laughed, finishing the last pancake.

"So, uh," Tony had dreaded talking about this. He was so anxious about Steve leaving him. Tony didn't want to lose the love of his life like he had lost everyone else. But he knew it had to be done. "Can we talk?"

"Sure, about what?" Steve turned around, wrapping his hands around Tony's waist.

"Yeah, uh," Tony looked down and back up. "I'm gonna just- ask this as blatantly as I can- are you cheating?" He quickly spat the words out, panicked.

Steve looked shocked. "What?"

"You heard what I said, Steve, are you?"

"Tony, why would you think that?"

"It's just-" Tony took a deep breath. "You're always staying up late doing God knows what, and you go out of the H.Q. with Bucky way more than you should, and I'm just so worried, God, it's stupid, I'm sorry." Tony vented, shutting his eyes.

"Hey, Tony, don't apologize!" Steve looked down at the man in his arms, suddenly feeling guilty. "I know this doesn't make sense now, but it will, trust me. I would never cheat on you. You trust me, right?"

Tony didn't answer for a second. "I don't know who to trust."

Peter yeeted down the stairs, screaming "WHAT'S UP DUDES I'M HUNGRY"
