Everything had been mostly normal in the Stark households since then. Tony had been incredibly protective, however, making sure Peter is always readily prepared when he leaves the house.

Peter was curled up in his Ironman blanket, snoring softly. Tony crept up the stairs, pushing up his glasses. He quietly entered Peter's room to check on him. He smiled, walking over and poking him. Peter yelped, shouting "BEGONE THOT-"

He opened his eyes, realizing who it was. "Oh-" He mumbled, his face turning red. The teen rubbed his eyes, yawning quietly. Tony simply towered above him, a smirk on his face.

"Thot Stark, that has a nice ring to it." He simply joked. "Come downstairs, kid, Pepper and I made pancakes."

Peter nodded, quietly laughing. He got up out of bed, quickly putting on a hoodie and shorts. The two trotted downstairs.

"Good morning Peter!" Pepper said in an energetic voice, though it was only 9 A.M.

"Morning, Ms. Potts." Peter said, a soft smile on his face. Tony walked to Pepper, placing a kiss on her forehead. "I'll make the coffee while you give Peter his food." He said softly, departing and grabbing two coffee cups. "Coffee, Peter?" He asked, as Pepper grabbed plates.

"No thank you, Mr. Stark."

Breakfast continued as it always did, with some chit-chat and Peter telling Pepper about how good the food was. Until Tony got a call.

"Hey Steve. Nothing, just eating. What is it? Can't you just tell me now-  Oh my God, you're like a 5 year old. We're gonna have a play-date, okay Steve? Bye."

"Was that Steve Rogers?" Peter asked, his eyes lighting up. Tony just nodded. Pepper, however, raised an eyebrow.

"What's going on with St-"

"OH MY GOD! I stole his shield! I wonder if he remembers me- I hope he does! He's sooo cool, oh my GOD is he coming over?" Peter jumped out of his seat.

"Peter, I will throw a pancake at you, calm the hell down." Tony grumbled, obviously annoyed that Steve was coming over. He wanted to relax today out of all days.

After a short while, Steve had arrived at the house. Tony greeted him, as Peter excitedly danced around in the background.

"Oh my God, Stev- Mr. Roge- Cap!" Peter exclaimed, causing Steve to slightly chuckle. "Hey kid," Steve said, then turning to Tony. "There's a... situation... down at Bleecker Street." Tony sighed, glancing at Peter. "Peter, could you please leave for a second?" He asked, and Peter's grin turned into a frown.

"Aw, why? But I wanna stayyy~" Peter whined, still bouncing up and down. He was trying to stifle a bright smile.

"Peter, come on."

"Mr. Stark pleaaaaaase-"

"Peter, out."

"Ple-"

"Out." Tony finally snapped. Peter flinched, backing away. "The adults are speaking."

Steve and Pepper just awkwardly stood there.

"Oh- okay."

Peter ran off into his room, his face red. He exhaled shakily, embarrassed. He groaned, visibly upset that Tony yelled at him in front of Steve. He crawled in his bed, slightly annoyed. He rested there for a few minutes, until he couldn't control himself. The teen got up out of bed, sneaking out of his room. Pepper had already gone, and Peter assumed that Tony kicked her out as well. He watched Steve and Tony carefully.

"Why can't Strange do this himself?" Tony asked, upset.

"Do you not understand what we're dealing with here, Stark?" Steve said, his voice getting slightly louder. He walked towards Tony, causing Tony to back up against the wall. "These people are channeling tons of energy from the Dark Dimension at a catastrophic level! Strange can't handle this alone."

"Well he already did once-" Tony muttered.

"Are you just trying to get out of helping him?"

"...Maybe."

Steve sighed. "Tony, come on, get your suit."

Tony looked up at Steve, staring into his eyes (is this considered stony?). "Fine." He said.

Peter gasped excitedly. If he went, he'd be able to prove himself to Tony. He'd be able to show him that he's not just a kid, that he's so much more. This was his one chance to redeem himself.
