Before lunch, Quinn waited by her locker for Sam, but he didn't show up.

Quinn went to lunch and sat with Finn, Rachel, Mercedes, and a few of the other glee kids.

"Hey, Quinn." Finn smiled. "We missed you at the victory party on Friday."

Quinn nodded. "Thanks."

"How was your weekend?" Rachel wondered.

"It was good." Quinn said. "I met my mom's boyfriend and his daughter. They seem normal."

"That's good." Mercedes replied.

"It's a nice change." Quinn nodded as she looked at Rachel, who was glaring at someone behind Quinn.

"Hey, guys."

Quinn froze.

Puck was right behind her.

"Hey, man." Finn said.

Puck sat down next to Quinn. "How's everybody doing?"

"You're interrupting our lunch." Rachel stated. "Why don't you go sit with Santana?"

"I don't wanna sit with Santana." Puck shook his head as he looked at Quinn.

"I, um... I should go." Quinn said as she quickly gathered her things and stood up.

Mercedes looked at Puck. "You should go. Quinn was here first and you're making her uncomfortable."

"No, it's fine." Quinn insisted. "I just remembered I was supposed to meet Sam in the library. We're gonna work on homework."

"Are you sure?" Rachel asked.

Quinn nodded. "I'll see you guys in glee club."

Quinn was stressed out. She was afraid of running into Puck alone, so she clung to her friends' sides all day.

At the end of the day, Quinn went to glee club, where she knew Puck wouldn't be.

"Hey." Sam grinned. "Saved you a seat."

Quinn smiled as she sat down in her usual seat and greeted Sam with a kiss.

"Sorry about lunch." Sam apologized. "I had to finish a math test."

"It's okay." Quinn said. "I ate lunch with Mercedes."

"Good." Sam smiled. "Wanna do dinner tonight? Breadstix?"

Quinn bit her lip. "I'm really tired today. Can we go a different day?"

"Oh, yeah, sure." Sam nodded, trying to hide his disappointment.

Quinn squeezed Sam's hand as Mr. Schue walked in and started glee club.
