After Quinn and Puck found Judy and told her about Beth's first word, they left the hospital.
"I have to stop home and see if my mom and Sarah are around." Puck told Quinn on the way back from the hospital. "Want me to drop you off at home first?"
Quinn shook her head. "I'll come with you, if that's okay."
"I'm sure they'd love to see you." Puck nodded. "I'm gonna tell my mom how Beth's doing. And that reminds me, I have to text Finn, too."
Quinn looked at Puck. "You told Finn?"
Puck glanced at Quinn before looking back at the road. "Yeah. I was kinda worried about Beth."
"You were?" Quinn asked.
"Totally." Puck nodded.
"You're a lot better at hiding it than me." Quinn noted. "And staying calm."
Puck shrugged. "I figured if I started freaking out, it would've made things worse."
Quinn nodded.
"Beth's our baby." Puck said as he looked at Quinn. "And I don't know how else to describe it, but with her around, it kinda feels like my heart is walking around outside of my chest in another person."
Quinn looked at Puck. "That's exactly what it feels like."
"Let's go inside." Puck smiled as he parked the car. "I'll let you tell my mom and Sarah about Beth's first word."
Quinn grinned as Puck got out of the car. He opened her door and helped her out of the car. "We have to teach her how to say Dada next."
"She'll get it." Puck nodded. "She's smart like her Mama."
"You're smart, too." Quinn reminded Puck as he led her inside.
"Mom! Sarah!" Puck called as he closed the front door behind Quinn. "Me and Q are here!"
"Quinn!"
Puck rolled his eyes as his sister ran in and hugged Quinn.
Quinn laughed lightly. "Hi, Sarah."
"Where's Mom?" Puck asked Sarah.
"Laundry room." Sarah muttered.
Quinn watched as Puck walked away to find Ruth.
Sarah let go of Quinn and looked at her. "Are you dating my brother again? Because he's-"
"Hi, Quinn." Ruth smiled as she and Puck entered the room. "It's good to see you."
"You, too." Quinn nodded.
"Mom, Sarah, me and Quinn wanted to talk to you about something." Puck said.
Ruth's eyes widened as she looked at Quinn's flat stomach. "You're not pregnant again, are you?"
"Mom." Puck groaned sheepishly as his cheeks turned red.
"No." Quinn laughed lightly. "I'm not pregnant."
"Good." Ruth said. "I love Beth, but she doesn't need any siblings yet."
"I agree." Quinn nodded as she looked at Puck. "Noah and I don't wanna go through all of that again."
"Anyway." Puck muttered. "Beth is doing really well. She's gonna come home from the hospital tomorrow morning."
Ruth nodded. "That's good. I'm very glad."
"Babe, tell them the other news." Puck said as he took Quinn's hand.
Quinn squeezed Puck's hand as she looked at Judy and Sarah. "Beth said her first word today!"
"She did?!" Ruth exclaimed. "What'd she say?"
"Mama." Quinn smiled happily. "She said it a few times. We're gonna try to teach her Dada next."
"And then Aunt Sarah." Sarah requested.
"She'll learn everyone's names." Puck promised.
"She's so smart." Ruth noted with a proud smile.
