After they had left her house, Bella didn't want to speak to anyone but Jessica. She decided to text Jessica about everything the next morning, as Jessica had her art class. Bella was stuck in her English class and she started later than Jessica, so she wouldn't see her until lunch.
Jessica- That's fucking bullshit. Also speaking of Scott, Alex and I were eating this morning and he basically threatened Alex!
Bella sat in confusion.
Bella- What do you mean?
Jessica- We were sitting there going over that note he could in the mail. Scott walked past and did a gun hand motion fucking hell!
Bella- Why would he do that?
Jessica- Idk. Maybe someone like Monty made him or he just did it to piss us off!
Bella put her phone back into her bag and decided to listen to her English teacher. After an hour lecture from their teacher, Bella tried to focus on her new assignment. She was writing away when she received around text. She thought it was Jessica again, so she didn't look at her phone, until the end of her class.
She walked out to the baseball field and took a seat at a table. She placed her stuff on the table and decided to check the message she received. Bella took out her phone and found another message from the same number.

Bella looked at the message extremely confused. She had no idea what this person wants and maybe they were dangerous. She didn't know if this person delivered her that box or if it was one of Bryce's followers. She broke down just thinking about the possibility of a stalker. This was new to her and she felt extremely helpless and lonely.
She let the tears fall from her eyes and tried to keep her sobs silent, but it wasn't working. She suddenly sees someone sit across from her. She looks up to found Scott looking at her concerned.
'What's wrong?' Scott asked fanatically
'I'm fine Scott' Bella stressed
He was the last person she wanted to speak to.
'Just go Scott' Bella cried, 'You're no help'
'What did I do?' Scott asked
'Oh, you think I'm crying because of you!?' Bella cried, 'Just leave me alone'
Bella grabbed her school bag and walked away from him aggressively.
'What is going on with you?' Scott yelled from behind her
She noticed some students looking over at them, 'Scott please. I can't do this right now'
'You never want to talk about things' Scott started, 'You were crying over there, so obviously something is wrong'
'You really want to know why I am so upset?' Bella said to him, 'You threatening Alex and lying to me for two fucking years!'
'What?'
'Don't act like you don't know Scott' Bella yelled, 'Why would you pretend to ''shoot'' Alex!?'
Scott closed his eyes before answering, 'That was just a joke'
'Are you fucking serious?' Bella cried, 'A joke? Alex tried to kill himself Scott'
'I know that' Scott said with a sadden tone, 'I lost a bet with Monty and that was my dare'
'You're sick' Bella said trying to hold back more tears, 'I can't believe you would do that! You're a fucking asshole'
'Bella' Scott pleaded, 'I know it wasn't the right thing to do, but I had to do it. I know it looks bad but I'm on your side and I think Hannah Baker was telling the truth'
'What makes you change your mind?' Bella asked not believing a word he was saying, 'Before you didn't want to even hear Hannah's name and now you're on my side? Fuck off Scott'
'Bella listen to me please' Scott said as he grabbed her arm, which she pulled away, 'I'm sorry about everything and I know I can't change anything, but I want you back'
Bella noticed the tears form in his eyes, 'Scott...'
'No just listen' Scott went on, 'I can't live another day without you Bella. I know I fucked up and I lied to protect my friends, but I should've protected you instead. I was trying to make everyone in my life happy, but I didn't think it would boil over like this! I didn't know what to do'
'I'm still in love with you Bella' Scott said softly, 'And Harriet she didn't mean anything to me. Bryce set me up with her, because I seemed upset about us breaking up to him. But I was more than upset, I was heartbroken'
'So was I' Bella said as Scott nodded
'I know and I'm sorry that I wasn't there for you, when you needed me the most' Scott said as Bella saw a single tear rolled down his face, 'I messed up'
Bella stood there in shock. She hadn't seen Scott cry for a long time; the last time she saw him cry was when they got into a small car crash and Scott felt so bad that Bella got a small cut on her leg. It wasn't a big deal, but Scott still felt like it was his fault that he put his girl in danger.
'Scott please' Bella said as she started to walk away, 'I...'
She wanted to say something, but nothing was coming out. She looked at Scott one more time and walked toward her next class. It would kill her to look back to him, so she didn't look back at him standing there with his bag over his shoulder and the tears of guilt and regret.
