"CALEB! GET THE DAMN DOOR YOU BUM! NOW!"
We jumped up immediately as we heard Caleb's walkie talkie going off, making our blood jolt. Caleb exchanged a quick glance to me of fear and then looked over to the garage before he leaped up, his face a struck expression of worry. "Luna? Luna?!" He spoke to the walkie-talkie, causing me to just grab it from him.
"What happened?" I asked.
"Lynne, open the doors!" She screamed back. "Echo--to your right!"
"Hurry!" Caleb quickly opened the door.
"We are!" I said. "B-But...what happened?!"
"Car shut down. There's a lot--A LOT OF THEM, Lynne."
"We're opening the doors. Where are you?!" I asked, distress coating my eyes as I looked into the dark, the moan of walkers the only thing that lapsed in my ears.
"Wha's happenin'? Is Luna and E'ho okay?" Bella asked, her 'cluttering' speech impediment coming out because of her fear.
"Bella, stay back!" I demanded. "Luna, is anyone bit? Did someone get hurt? Is Echo okay?"
"Echo's fine, jesus! Is the door open?" She replied.
"Yes, it's open! You can't see it with the car?" I looked outside and shot a walker who was trying desperately to come inside the garage with my aqua pistol, Caleb frozen with fear.
"We don't have the fucking car!" Echo screamed into the walkie-talkie. "Luna, behind you!" I heard an arrow whipping through the air.
"Do you want me to go out and help?" I asked, the sound of more walkers moaning in the air. "I can like--." Suddenly, Caleb screamed with an overwhelmed expression as Luna, Echo, and two mysterious people ran into the garage, carrying supplies and out of breath.
"Shut the door!" I screamed to Jinxx, who quickly shut the door with another fast shot to a walker's head. My eyes traveled to the two newcomers, narrowed, and then looked over to Luna. "W-What happened?" I asked with fear.
"There's way too many out there, Lynne," Echo said. Bella, who was in the doorway, tilted her head.
"Who are you?" She asked with a shaky voice.
"Luna," Caleb screamed, wrapping his arms around her and holding her tight. Luna breathed out lightly and then pulled away.
"Be quiet." She said. "Tonight, there's no music. There's no screaming. There's a herd out there migrating and we need to be quiet. So grab your knives." She pointed to Jinxx and I. Caleb, who had a machete, nodded his head.
"Is it large?" I asked, us now moving into the other room. "You didn't get scratched, right? Bit?"
"Jesus, Lynne, no." Echo bitterly hissed out, "we have the supplies, but it was a close call. We're not that stupid."
"Who are you?" Bella asked, poking the blonde, tilting her head.
"They're two people. They didn't have a base." Luna said, "so they're staying with us."
"We're just open to newcomers now?" Jinxx asked. Luna was about to say something before Bella screeched.
"Did you get Mrs. Bearington?!" She asked cheerfully, making Luna smile and hand her the pink bowed bear that was in her right hand.
"Now we stay quiet." I urged Bella, looking out to the garage closed door as the groan of walkers grew louder.
