There was a faint ringing in my ears as I stood there. Nothing seemed to be moving for a moment. I couldn't feel the hand that was holding mine. Lynne stood in front of me, the look on her face matched my own. Next to me stood Jinxx, both of us were in a panic, only I was crying and he wasn't.

"Missing?" Lynne asked us as I snapped back to reality. I looked to the girl that I call my friend and nodded my head, taking in a deep breath. "Are you sure? Did you guys check the house?" She asked and Jinxx rolled his eyes, crossing his arms.

I could see the sadness in his eyes despite the anger radiating off of him as he looked at Lynne and the other that have joined us. "Yeah, we checked the whole house. Would we be panicking if we didn't?" He asks and I shoot him a look before looking to the ground.

"And he didn't leave and go outside the base?" Lisa asked and I shook my head. He wasn't stupid enough to leave without telling somewhere where he was going.

"No, he didn't take a walkie with him. We all know the rules by now, he made this one. Always take a radio when you leave the walls. He's disappeared and we need to find him." I say, trying so hard to ignore the ringing in my back of my head.

"And we will, but we need to be smart about doing this." Lynne said, shooting Echo a look before looking back to me. I wanted to agree with her so bad, but the back of my mind was screaming about the herd that was on its way.

"Here's what we'll do, Luna and I will go out and search the area, looking out for a car to cover more ground, yall stay here and get a look at the perimeter, the last thing we need is for him to be hurt in the area and dying." Mark says and Lynne shakes her head a bit as she looks to me.

"No, we need you two here in case we find him and run into walkers." She tries to reason but Mark shakes his head.

"He could already be out there and hurt, we need to cover ground." Mark says and they start arguing back and forth. Pretty soon everyone in the room is arguing and yelling at each other.

"There's a herd coming!" I yelled, making the room go silent, everyone looking to me except Mark, who was looking to the ground. "They're heading right to us. We need the car and we need to find my brother. We can do both." I say and Echo steps forward, shooting me a look.

"Why didn't you tell us sooner?" She growled and I ran a hand through my hair.

"Because we wanted to wait till we got the car. We didn't want to start a panic after everything that was going on with Bella. We need the car, so half of you pack up our shit and the other half search for my brother, we're getting the car and I'm not gonna stop will find Caleb." I say, looking around at everyone in the group. "Got it? Good, because there's no arguing, if you don't help you get left behind and that's that." I say, pulling Mark by the hand to get our supplies and leave the house.
