I looked to Bella as she clung herself to me, her eyes closed. "I hope Caleb is okay..." The small girl muttered.

I said nothing, but looked down, stroking her hair. Jinxx looked to have been crying, as he tapped me on the shoulder.

"Hey, Lynne. Could I...uh, talk to you?" He asked. I looked to him and then to the blonde and the dark haired girl on the coach.

"Sure." I said, as I looked to Lisa, "watch her?" She nodded, whilst I begun to follow Jinx in the kitchen.

"Hey, Jinxx, what's up?" I asked, my voice a sliver through the air. He leaned against the wall and crossed his arms.

"Lynne..." He muttered softly. "I need someone to talk to...I know I'm an asshole and shIt and I don't deserve to talk to anyone...but you're going through similar shit I am. You have to be hurting, right?"

I stared, tilting my head. "Jinxx, I'm..." I stopped and shut my eyes as I took a breath, "what do you need to talk about?"

He breathed a shaky sigh. "I..." He shook his head.

"Hey, listen. I'm here to talk to you, Jinxx. I get it. You're sad, you're allowed to be. What's wrong?"

He stood, staring at me for a second. His hands began to shake as he ran to me and put me in a tight hug.

"Lynne...I can't do this! I can't do any of this! I'm so sorry for being an asshole. I'm so sorry for everything I did to Bella, and now Caleb is gone. I just want to die right now, Ly! What do I do?" He said, putting his face in my shoulder as I let him cry.

"Jinxx--."

"I'm a fucked up person, and I deserve to be missing, not him! I'm so scared, Lynne! I can't stop crying. I can't stop feeling like I'm going to die. I don't want to--." He looked around. "Ly, I don't want to be alive."

"Hey, don't say that.' I said as I put my hand on his shoulder. "You deserve to live. And we're gonna find Caleb."

"..." He said nothing.

"Jinxx, he loves you. He loves you so much, and so do all of we. I know through that thick skin you're a sweetheart, and I know you don't deserve to go through all of this. None of us do. But I swear, we're going to find him."

He shook his head. "Promise?" He asked.

"Jinxx, you know I can't--."

"Please, Lynne." He stopped my voice. "Please...just tell me he's going to be okay. Please promise me."

I breathed out. "Okay, Jinxx. I promise. I promise you he'll be okay."

His smile was faint, but there. There for a split second, like a phantom. He pulled me tighter, tears falling on my shoulder some more as his nails gripped into my skin.

"Thank you, Lynne. Thank you so much." He whispered.

"No problem." I replied, to which I heard a loud scream from Bella as she called my name. We took a look to each other and bolted.

"What? What is it?" I asked loudly, looking around.

With a shaky hand, Echo pointed outside.

There - were everyone stood - lead Harper as she put her hand to Caleb, a sword to his throat.

A thought ran through my head.

I lied.
