a / n - so hi, it's me. writer and creator of lynne here. anywayyyy, um. so. the gal that writes echo's chapters (jordyn) bailed and went on vacation with her family last minute sooo here i am, summer vacation, writing the rest of her chapter. here goes nothing.
So many words rushed through my brain as Luna announced the oncoming herd.
Traitor, Untrustworthy, Enemy.... was she trying to kill us? I'm notorious for being able to kill walkers at didn't she let me know sooner?!
I growl and her under my breath feeling a slight tingle of triumph as she stared at all our angry faces.
She just lost her brother, she doesn't need this right now. A voice in the back of my head tries to reason with me but I push it away.
No, I can't let myself fall into another trap... I have to go, no I need them.
"Luna!" I screech half in anger half at the pain in my chest that was slowly growing larger.
She turns to look at me only regret in her eyes.
"I thought we were supposed to trust each other, but how am I supposed to trust you three when our lives are in danger and you don't tell us!"
Luna shakily exhales, "I did it for your own good.."
"My own good?!" I scream, "My own good!? Oh my fucking God Luna the only good you did this for was yourself!" I turn and look away, glaring.
"Echo, please--." Mark whispered softly, "We're...we just want to find Caleb."
"You should've told us!" I screamed through gritted teeth, "we could've helped! Caleb would've told us! Lynne would've told us! We're in this together. We're a team, guys!"
"We're not when lives are on the line." She whispered back.
"This isn't because I hate you or because I'm mad, Lune. I don't want you to be more upset but we have to have trust here! We just have to! If we don't then we're just as good as the walkers out there!"
"ECHO, COULD YOU PLEASE STOP?" Luna shouted, making me jump back in surprise as I stared at her tears that rolled down her face. "Please...just stop."
"I-." I couldn't force words out through my venom tongue. I hated this. I hated being silent just so I could spare someone.
But I did, because I needed to. I stayed silent and looked the other way.
'Cause this is the end of all the endings.
And my broken bones aren't mending.
