Echo had left to go to bed not even ten minutes after Mark had begun talking to Bella, and Jinxx and Caleb were still out of the room, which left Luna, Mark, Lisa, and I alone.
Mark and Luna were talking lightly, as Luna motioned to the various different rooms that were in the house, pointing to her room and Caleb's old one that we expected Lisa and Mark would be staying in.
Lisa was talking and playing with Bella, watching her play with her bears and prepping them for their 'marriage'.
I walked over to the duo with a small smile, causing Lisa to look up to me as I ruffled Bella's hair.
As much as I wished that I could say we had the supplies to take care of two more people, they seemed pretty nice and I know they didn't deserve to be left to die with the herd.
"Lynne!" Bella cooed. "Ma'k said that Mr. and Mrs. Bearington should get married in the mornin'. . . 'cause den there will be sunlight and e'eryone can see it!" She said. "Like the fairies!"
I chuckled. "You do know that it would be Ms. Bearington until she gets married, right?" I asked, making Bella look at me like she just had an epiphany. "Nevermind," I laughed slightly as she turned back to her teddy bears and I resided next to Lisa.
"She's seven, right?" She asked unexpectedly after a minute, making me jump. I nodded my head.
"She's seven," I repeated with a smile. She returned one back and I held out my hand. "I don't think we've officially met. I'm Lynne." I said.
"Lisa," she replied.
"I'm guessing Luna already asked you the question, so I'mma go with next best. What were you and Mark doing when Luna and Echo found you?" I asked immediately, seeing as the question had been bugging me since they kinda just stormed into our garage.
"We were...uh...getting supplies, I guess," she said, "but we've never been around here before."
"The city?" I asked.
"Yeah," she nodded her head, and then looked down to Bella.
"Hey, Ms. Lisa, do you think that Mrs. Bearington should have a dress or a skirt when she gets mawwied? 'Cos Luna bought her a cute ski't but Lynne got a weally cute dress for her."
I laughed as Lisa leaned forward a little bit, thinking in her head. "I think," she started, grabbing Mrs. Bearington lightly, "that Mrs. Bearington should have the skirt on over her dress." Bella gasped and quickly put the skirt over her dress that was already on.
"It's perfect!" She shrieked, then quickly quieted as she heard a distant 'shhh' from the other room, probably from Jinxx or Echo.
"See?" Lisa asked, "this way, Mrs. Bearington can feel like a princess twice as much." I covered my mouth with my hand and giggled lightly, as I witnessed Bella cheering and holding Mrs. Bearington tight.
"You're so smart!" She said excitingly. "You're like, smarter than everyone else! Lynne, can we keep her?"
"Oh, dear Gosh, Belles." I laughed, shaking my head and ruffling her hair as she continued to talk about how perfect this wedding was going to be, and how smart Lisa was.
