Palette was all snuggled up in his blankets. He had a nice, hot, delicious cup of hot cocoa in his mug ready to be sipped. It was snowing outside. On cold, snowy days back when he was a child he would sit on the couch and cuddle in this same blanket and watch it fall with his papa. But instead of hot cocoa it was green tea in his hand.
So Palette smiled at the warmth he was feeling inside his blanket, fuzzy socks, and warm home. The snow sprinkled down like powdered sugar on doughnuts, a treat he was able to devour back during his first school year at UnderHigh with Goth. The snow fell form the sky, slow and steady in comparadin to the rain. The rain was the hare and the snow was the tortoise. If Palette had to pick a favorite, it would be the tortoise.
Goth was walking through the house, absent mindedly zoning out of reality for a good book to read next. He then turns his head ever so slightly while walking through the main living area to see Palette all cuddly with a blanket and a cup of something. In all honesty, it looked rather comfortable and warm on a snowy day like this. Goth couldn't help but smile at his boyfriend's antics.
"Palette, what are you doing?"
Palette heard his friend snicker out the words, laughing at how cute he was most likely. Palette didn't want to shuffle his body at all, knowing that the warmth will flee from whatever parts of his body moves at all. But alas, it has to be done. He turns his neck around, careful to keep the rest of his body in its comfortable place. He then flashes that warm smile that just had a little Palette trademark symbol floating by it in both skeleton's minds.
"Watching the snow. Wanna watch with me Gothy?"
Goth watched the other skeleton's eyesockets sparkle with some sort of childlike innocence. It was almost like when Anna was begging her older sister to, And I quote, "Do the magic! Do the magic!" Goth just looked in his colorful and expressive pupils, watching his smile grow wider by a millimeter every moment. Goth just can't refuse a face like that, can he?
"Alright Palette, scooch."
Goth sighed with a wider smile than he had ever seen himself have in the past. Palette let out an adorable mix of a squeal and a giggle as he reached out one arm from the blanket mess that he was and stretched as far as he could without moving. It was a fail and he ended up squirming, losing the perfect posture his blanket had before. Palette had a cute pout on his face when this happened.
Goth chuckled, grabbing two blankets off the couch as he walked over to Palette. He took both and draped one around their shoulders. It was a blanket with the neon sign of a show the went to together called Interactive I teoverts on it like a flannel pattern. Palette used the blanket he had and placed it over the excess of the one around their shoulders to keep it tucked in nice and tight.
Goth then took the second blanket and placed it over both of their laps. Both boys crossed their legs and the edge of the blanket was tucked between the crease of their waists and under their legs. Palette had extra warmth with his third blanket and fuzzy socks, yet Goth was perfectly fine with the amount of warmth he had. Palette being there was just bonus warmth.
Palette noticed Goth didn't have nearly as much warmth as he had. Goth was at a disadvantage! That wasn't right. In a situation like this it simply wasn't fair, Now was it? Palette opened up his third blanket and wrapped his arms around one of Goth's, engulfing half of his body to Palette's warmth. You know those cliché girls who hold on to their date's arm and snuggle up to them because they're feeling insecure? Palette was in that position with Goth right now, and he was owning it.
Goth looked down to see Palette resting his head on his boney shoulder, snuggling into him a little bit like he was a Teddy bear. His mug was placed on the windowsill, where he was watching the Snow fall earlier. Palette's bright pupils were pouring into Goth's own. Palette had a nuetral expression with a smile tugging at his jawline. This snuggly look really complimented the smaller Skellie.
"The snow's really pretty, isn't it Goth?"
Palette's focus redirected to the window, where the soft powdered frozen water was still sprinkling down like honey on some wheat bread toast. It was slow, yet very oddly satisfying. Goth's eyesockets didn't redirect to the window, they just stayed on his adorable boyfriend. Goth kept on smiling. He had never smiled this long continuously with anyone else. He only smiled like this with Palette; for Palette.
"Yeah, Pretty like someone else I know."
Palette looked back over to Goth, his body already regulated to the new amount of warmth the two male monster beings shared. He could see the loving glint in his eyesocket, almost mischievous. Palette got that sexy smirk on his teeth, already thinking of a way to mess around with his Precious Gothy
"You mean PJ?"
Goth scoffed, grinning even wider and pushing on Phil's skull, forcing him off of his arm. Palette still had a grip, but it wasn't that strong or close anymore. It wasn't that Goth didn't think PJ was hot, it was that Palette was toying with him. He obviously meant that Palette was pretty. Palette just had to joke around with him.
"Palette you know I meant you!"
Palette did that adorable little giggle like he all then time. It still was the most adorable and precious laugh in the world. Palette then rested his Head on Goth's shoulder, calming down and smiling softly as his bright blue eyes followed little flakes of snow as they fell down their path to the streets.
Goth shook his head, seeing Palette on his shoulder. He was already back into the zone, wasn't he? Goth didn't watch the snow, instead he watched Palette. He was calmly breathing and smiling softly as they both cuddled up very nicely in blankets in front of the window.
A perfect blanket moment.
