Who's God? [Papyrus x Male!Reader]

I had this idea in the shower, lol. I'm sorry.

No. No no no no no nO! This can't be happening! It's wrong! It's wrong in every circumstance! This is against god's plan! This was sin! Yet... why did sin have a friendly smile and warm hugs? Why did it feel so nice inside of your heart?

Papyrus was worried about the human. He hasn't been acting himself and he wasn't distancing himself away from Papyrus. This kind of hurt him. He thought he had finally made a great friend but apparently he wasn't great enough. 

Sans told Papyrus that the kid was just working some things out, but that didn't make Papyrus feel any less worried. Papyrus finally had enough of you being sad. He hated it when his friend said were sad! You were no exception!

"...Human? Is something wrong? You've been acting off these past few weeks."

You snapped put of your thoughts and found the source of them sitting there. You feel the hear rise to your cheeks and you look down, averting your eyes so your heart doesn't start going Doki Doki in the literature club.

"Papyrus! I, uh, well... yeah! I'm fine!"

Ugh, smooth move. A very butchered and stuttery answer. That won't convince him you're fine at all. You look up and see the disappointment and hurt all over his face. His eyesockets had a new black shading to them, a sad one. It made your heart want to shatter on the spot.

"Human... why are you lying to me? Did I do something wrong?"

Oh no, oh no no no no! He thinks he's the problem when you are for being a filthy sinner! You felt horrible, even worse when he hung his skull and looked down. He even sniffed. Oh god! Oh god oh god oh god!

Papyrus felt horrible. Was he the fault his friend was feeling so bad? Wowie, he just has to ruin everything he does, doesn't he? That just makes him feel a thousand times worse. Everyone lies to him, why can't he just be a part of anything?

"Papyrus no no no no! It's me! it's all me! I'm the one who fell in love wi-"

You stopped yourself, feeling your cheeks boiling and jerking your head down. Papyrus lifted his skull and looked at you. Papyrus was confused. You were shutting yourself away because you fell in love with someone? That was confusing.

"Human, who are you in love with?"

You shooked your head, bringing your knees up to your chest and putting your hands to the sides of your head. No. No. No! You can't be in love with him! You're both male! It's a sin! But... why did it feel good to sin? Why did your heart go against god?

"It's wrong! We're both guys! It's wrong!"

Papyrus flinched. So you were in love with a male? Is that why you're so sad? Humans must believe weird things to think that you have to be different genders to be in love. Love is love is love! Papyrus placed a hand on his shoulder.

"In the underground, you can love anyone you want."

You lifted your head, revealing to Papyrus that your eyes were red and puffy with tears flowing down them. Papyrus had a warm smile to comfort you. He watched as a smile tried to quiver that frown right out. You wiped your tears.

"But... it's against God's Plan..."

It was wrong. Two men should not be in love. That's now how reproduction works and that's not how love works. You must be confused. You hated this. Why did you want Papyrus to hug you and kiss you!?

"Who's god?"

Papyrus's very innocent statement made you hit a revelation. Monsters in the underground don't have forced religion. They don't have a god, they have a king. In the underground, it's like zootopia. Anyone can be anything. Anyone can love anyone. It just works.

You look at Papayrus, a smile finally coming over your lips. Papyrus was still confused on who this 'God' human was and if he needed to speak with him for preventing two people from falling in love solely due to gender roles.

"Papyrus, I love you."

Papyrus flinched, not expecting to hear those words as the human flung into his arms, wrapping his arms around his neck. The human was crying into his ribcage. Papyrus didn't mind. He placed on hand on the bac of his head and the other rubbed up and down his back.

"There there, Human. The great Papyrus will always be there for you."

Papyrus did in fact love you back, but right now he needed to calm you down before expressing it properly. He didn't want you crying on your first date after all! Now where did he put his cool dude clothes?
