Chapter Thirteen II: Deathly Collisions..

Yup!

I stood there on my quadrupedal like an eavesdropper and listened in on their conversation. Except I wasn't doing it like a creep and hiding behind closed doors the way I'm sure Roxy was doing at the moment.

That's if she doesn't get bounced out by the hospital authorities...

Or better still, slammed face first by the door...

They were arguing. Alessandra and the unknown human male whom I'm still lost as to who he is. I could also tell that this was not the first time they'd argued and they'd done it quite a lot in the past.

And you could also discern that the man is a little on the above half of the dangerous scale just by looking at the emotionless mask currently occupying his handsome - Yes! handsome face at the moment. Also because of how electrifying he was making the atmosphere in the room.

This is bad! Very bad!

As much as I have an extreme aversion for Ferdie and I would love to see him wake up from his coma just so I could boot his rear end up the ceiling, I wouldn't recommend the present atmosphere for his convalescence...

Yes! I can be very nice too..

"...and please, do not insult me. I'm not in the mood for this. No one ever asked for your help", Endra said.

Huh? I seem to be getting confused a lot lately. Why would Endra be sounding so ungrateful? I thought she wanted the best for her brother. Now help comes, she's acting all unappreciative. Isn't she supposed to be happy he got the best help he needed? What's so bad in accepting the help and putting a halt to the differences between them for a brief minute before resumption when you've gotten what you wanted?

Dear Almighty, give me the grace to understand these humans...

"Would you rather he was left there to die? With him being your closest thing to a family, trust me, I'd have being so thrilled to have my assistants deposit him where he was retrieved, just so I can finally get the satisfaction of seeing you broken!", the man said calmly in a dark and dispassionate tone. It was so cold and hateful, the furs on my back were standing at attention. From the corner of my eyes, I caught Endra's fearful flinch.

This guy's scary!

She was smart enough to put a hundred yards distance between herself and the glowering man. Better safe than never, I suppose. Who knows when he'll combust?

He eyed her movement with keen attentiveness and absolute amusement. "I believe a show of gratitude is in order"

"Why should I thank you, David? You said you would get back at me. Is this..."

What?! Hold on two seconds, Endra! Let me get this straight first...

This is The David?!

Like The David Arden?!

The 'Oh My God, he's a glorious piece of marvellously crafted ass', in Roxy's words! Not mine..

The 'he's Adonis! A Greek god!', in Prosphina's voice. (one of those annoying and over-pampered cats at the nursery)...

The man that bosses Endra around all day...

Crap! Shoulda sharpened my claws for a cat fight. But, there's a tiny, little part of me that doubts I could have made good use of them. This man looks like a devilish hellhound and trust me when I say I'm not about to put myself in between one of its kind and my babies...
