Chapter Twenty I: Our Favourite Reunition..

Alessandra

...Well, look what we have here!.. And I presumed he was on his deathbed.. I laughed inwardly. Can't blame the poor guy, though; if he's on the verge of dying, he might as well die an accomplished death..

Poor guy, my nonexistent ass!

Ah!

I stood watching them for a while too long, long enough to actually start having visions of white laces, church bells, flowers and childish giggles. It was when I began to think about my past and regret my entire life that I decided to announce my presence. I cleared my throat to draw attention to my dignified presence since, obviously, the sound of the door clicking open and clicking shut didn't alert them already. The sound of my throat clearing did, apparently, because they broke up faster than ceramic glassware hitting the stone floor.

Yes! You guessed right..

The both of them.. Only separated by so much as a flimsy inch..

If you haven't already figured it out by now, Ferdie was wrapped in the one and only other daughter of Benedict and Genevieve Dumonte..

I don't think I have to give you the name now, do I?.. You're smarter than that..

Of course, you know it can't be Roxanne.. That would be incest, on her part.. Yes, I know they're both Dumontes and all but this is different.. Okay, now I can hear myself think and I know I'm not making any sense at all..

You can't blame me; this is all too much to take in at once..

"Oh, so sorry to barge in on you like that, darlings! Did I interrupt something?", I used an imitation of Genny's posh accent and raised my not so elegant eyebrows at the pair. "Don't mind me, I'll just be here waiting. You can pick up where you left off"

The girl blushed redder than the red fashionable cross bag she was hanging and began twiddling her well-manicured fingers. Rich people! The boy on the other hand allowed an amused grin to fill out on his face as though I hadn't just witnessed their smoochfest.

"Sasa!", exclaimed he.

I raised a remarkable eyebrow at him and tried to appear angry and stern. Like a responsible eldest sibling that I was. Am.

Ferdie rolled my colour of eyes back at me. "Come on, sis. You didn't think we hadn't already kissed and made out, did you? It's not the first time and we've pretty much gone past third base"

Lettie shrieked and covered her face with both of her palms in mortification, drawing a rumble of laughter out from Ferdie's throat. I could have tried harder not to smile but I just couldn't help myself when they were like that.

They looked so cute, even cuter together..

"Oh! I don't know. The doctor didn't inform me about necking been a part of the administrative treatments for your convalescence", I argued back.

"I read it somewhere that such.. physical contacts might actually work in this case", he replied smugly, causing Lettie to want to throw herself out of the closed window in continued embarrassment. Such a timid, shy, and cute girl..

It was my turn to roll my eyes.

"Ha! Here I thought I was coming to bid you adieu", I threw my hands heavenwards in mock frustration. "Well, I'd count my loses then. It's only a matter of time"

The rich sounds of Ferdie's laughter and Lettie stifling hers and failing horribly, all the while trying to be as invisible as possible, filtered into my ears. She could have easily blended with the wall colour, if she so much as wanted to. "You'll miss me more than you're letting on"
