Chapter Fifteen II: Now You See Me...It was a beautiful evening to be out and about, with the aurora borealis creating coloured lights in the sky. Now would be one of those days to wish I had a pair of limbs and some technology, so I could take a picture of it and, perhaps, update and archive it on one of the social media networks I would most likely have. As a human.
Oh, my catnips! Didn't I tell you I was already popular?!
I didn't?
Well, remember a picture Lettie took of me during our previous visit to her father's mansion for his birthday? Yes! The one I was stark stunned with absolute shock when I beheld Alessandra looking so.. close to the term pretty...
Okay, maybe beautiful...
In my defence, she wasn't how I was used to seeing her... Thanks to the altering power of cosmetics...
Anyway, Roxy 'memed' the picture, and now I'm the trending face of memes on the internet...
Cool right? I know...
The light gentle breeze rustled the hairy coat that was my fur as soon as I stepped out onto the balcony. We were on the fourth floor and one more floor closer to the roof so it was a bit windy. I took in a deep breathe and filled my lungs with the refreshing air..
Feels so good to be alive..
Oops!
My apologies Bertha, I didn't mean to be offensive.. RIP to you and your unborn kittens.. She was a very lovely cat.. From the nursery..
As I stepped on the handrail to survey my surroundings, a big black jeep parked by the curb of our apartment and its driver got off.
If he's looking to see someone in this apartment, he's going to be here a long while.. Roxy's out shopping with her mum and Endra is in all likelihood, with her brother at the hospital.. Or perhaps, on that date she was supposed to go to.. Our neighbours are never present on Sundays, no idea where they would be either..
It's almost as if it's a ritual to 'leave Kittie alone in the building' every Sundays.
The strange man got out one of those calling thingies.. the 'whatsitsname phone' and began tapping its glass screen. That was when I got a closer look at his face.
Ah! Who do we have here? If it isn't the grey-eyed monster!
I have a feeling this is going to be an extremely entertaining night..
I swaggered my way into the apartment, dragged my bowl of cat snacks out and closer to the handrail, and placed myself in a comfortable position in anticipation of an entertaining night..
I was just nibbling my crispy and crunchy treat when my baby girl arrived, looking like a stark raving mad bull.
Such bliss!

Alessandra
"What do you want now? Why are you here? It's not Monday yet, is it?", the questions escaped my mouth the very minute I laid eyes upon him.
"Ha! I was beginning to think you would turn down my invitation. You're a smart girl, after all", David's deep baritone pronounced. It sounded like it would come with a gentle pat on the head. I sent an awful glower his way. It's a wonder his crisp blue shirt and himself weren't reduced to mere ashes by now.
