Mercedes

I woke up the next day, still a bit sore but better. Then it clicked that it was my birthday, a smile craved on my face as I got up and went to the bathroom. I noticed I still had my jogging outfit from yesterday, making a shiver go down my spine as I remembered what happened. I looked in the mirror and saw my bruises had healed well, barely noticeable.i went back into my room, getting a special outfit and going back into the bathroom, starting the shower .

After 30 minutes...

I got out, dried off and put lotion on. I brushed my teeth, gargled some mouthwash then rolled on some deodorant before putting on light ripped shorts, a white short sleeve crop top with a white and red bow tie connected and some red converses and red beanie. I had my curly out, going down. I put on some matching jewelry then sprayed some perfume before I applied some makeup, covering my slight bruises. I walked out the bathroom, accidentally running into August. He had a bloody lip, and still looked mad. I took his hand, guiding him in the bathroom as I wiped his lip and kissed it.

"Thanks!" I said with a smile, he smiled back.

"Happy birthday princess.." He said kissing my forehead and going to his room. I smiled as I went and got Lexus, so we could get to school.

I had just walked into my own school, after dropping Lexus off and already got multiple "happy birthdays" from people...I guess they was already over that August stuff. Typical rumor of high school, in one day out the other. But I went to my locker to be greeted by a wide smiling Chandra.

"Hey girl happy birthday!" She said giving me a bear hug, I hugged back then let go , getting my books out.

"Thanks girl, I can't wait to turn up today!" I said and she nodded.

"YAS !! But I heard Chris went to the hospital this morning, I wonder what that was about !" she said I didn't say none but we continued talking then Zane walked up.

"Hay Mercedes , happy birthday, you're a big girl now!" He said giving me a hug, I hugged back smiling.

"Thanks Zane!" I said noticing that Chandra was in a daze. I flashed my hands over her face making her snap out.

"Well I'll catch you later!" Zane said walking off.

"Ok whooo is that?" Chandra asked, pointing at him. I smirked.

"Zane !" I said walking down the hall as she followed.

"You date him?"

"No!"
"Why ever not, look at him!"

"I don't like him like that, but I know he's single!" I said raising my eyebrow, smirking.

"Um not fa long.." She muttered, I shook my head chuckled a bit

"Well I'll catch you later girl!" I told her as I went into my classroom, she waved.

It was finally after school, and I was ready to get home to get ready for my party at 8.
After I picked up Lexus, we headed home. She was telling me bout all the kids that we're talking bout coming to the party, only the cool mature ones though, can't have crumb snatchers at my 18th birthday party , umm no.
Once we got there, we got out and went inside for my mom, john and Quan and August yelling surprise .

"Hey guys!" I said giving each one a hug, even ugh john.

"Happy birthday baby girl!" My mom said, and I saw a bunch of presents on the table already from them and some from family in other states.
