chapter twenty four

Mercedes

I woke from a violent knock on the front door. I didn't think too much of it , thinking August or Dre would get it but they kept knocking.. I grunted as I got up , going downstairs. I noticed I'm the only one here. I got to the door and opened it , to be greeted by Alyssa and Chandra.

"Hey girly!" Alyssa said smiling. I slightly smiled back.
"Umm hi but why y'all here?" I asked .
"Just go get dressed.." Chandra said .
"Tell me why first.." I said folding my arms .
"We're ...just going out.." Alyssa said.
"Umhm" I muttered as I went back upstairs getting some clothes and going into the bathroom.

I was out the shower in 15 minutes. I dried off, lotion, and did my hygiene . I got dressed then I went back into my room, got my bag with my phone and keys inside and went back downstairs.

"Omg that outfit is awesome" Chandra said as they stood up.
"Thanks now where are we going ?" I asked.
"You're so difficult Mercedes.." Alyssa said as she got my hand and the lead me out to their car. They made me get in the back , with them in the front and pulled out of the driveway.

"So how is it going with you and August?" Chandra asked.
"Good , he said he had a surprise for me today." I said making them giggle. Something's up, I wanna know.
" you guys know?" I asked.

" know what?" Alyssa said with a chuckle . Umhm they know.
" ok be like that.." I said sitting back, getting on my phone.
" whatever Mercedes.." Chandra said .

We've been everywhere. Mall, out to eat, movies, skating, laser tag, go Kart riding and now were at the carnival. I think they're trying to kill me on the sly.

" y'all I had so much fun but can I go home now , I'm tired.." I whined as we was walking around. They looked at their phones.
"Nope.." Chandra said.
"Whyyy?? What are y'all planning?" I asked, they shook their heads.
"Not telling you.." Alyssa said.
"Oh my gosh.." I mumbled.

"Come on you little party pooper, you love the carnival!" Alyssa said grabbing my hand, taking me to my favorite rollercoaster.
"I don't feel like riding.." I said stopping her from pulling me.
" you're so difficult Mercedes.." Chandra said.

"Yeah this ride may not be here tomorrow or you so come on.." Alyssa said pulling me again.
"Uhh ok.." I said giving the guy my ticket as we got in the ride.

After all the twists, hoops and loops, we got off the ride .
"That was fun!" I said smiling.
"See I knew it-" Chandra got cut off by both of their phones buzzing from a text message. They read it and squealed.

" ok come on let's go!!" Alyssa cheesed as they dragged me out the carnival.
" now where are we going?" I asked, as we now got to the car.
" you'll see but put this on.." Chandra said with a blindfold in her hand,
"Why?" I asked. She rolled her eyes.
"Just do it!" She said. I sighed as I took it, wrapping it around my eyes.
"Can you see ?" Alyssa asked.

" no" I said , I heard them give each other a high five.
"Someone gotta help me in the car" I said folding my arms.
I heard the door open.
"Come on.." Chandra said as she helped me Inside. Once we was all in, I heard them start going down the street somewhere.

3 hours later....

" ohh my fucking gosh , where are we going??" I asked , growing impatient and irritated.
"Girl be quiet we're here.." Alyssa said . I sighed a relief of finally arriving to wherever they was taking me. I heard them pull up to somewhere and stop. I heard their doors open and close as I felt mines being opened.

"Come on.." They said , helping me out and guiding me so I wouldn't run into nothing.
"This betta be hella good!" I said, they nodded.
"It is, trust me!" Chandra said. I sighed as I heard them ring a doorbell. Who house were we at?
I heard the door open and them whispering. They lead me in the house and sat me down on a chair.

"Are you ready?" Alyssa asked.
"I've been ready for the last few hours.." I stated.
"Yeah yeah.." She said as I felt them untied my blindfold.

Once It was completely off, I looked around and saw Alyssa , Chandra, Dre , August , my granny and Lexus standing in the living room of this house.
"Hey guys.." I said smiling, which made them laugh.
"What?" I asked, August came up to me and stood me up.

"I bought us this house, surprise!" He said with a weird smile. I laughed hysterically .

"Are you serious!" I said , he nodded.
"My god!" I squealed covering my mouth, looking around. I started going all through the house as Chandra, Alyssa and Lexus followed me and we talked.

That was the surprise. I just wanted to get away from everything down there so I moved us 3 hours away. Dre needed his privacy back and so did we .

So I got a 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom , 2 story house .with a pool and a whole lot more features that almost indescribable . And I'll still be selling. Roscoe got a brother name Reno that lives down here and they deal together so imma be hitting him up soon.

I watched as the girls looked all over the house. The smile on Mercedes face said everything and made feel like I succeeded in designing everything. I had to get her out the house so I could get the movers to bring her stuff here .

" bubbles !!" She yelled as her dog ran to her, wiggling his tail hard. I had to get him from the shelter, where the police took him after her mom was shot. She put him back down and ran to me, giving me the biggest hug.

" thank you so much August, this is so great and sweet and.." She said , tearing up smiling at me.

"Don't cry but it's nothing, you deserve it , you Been through a lot these past 2 months.." I said giving her a hug, kissing her tears away as everyone behind us "awww"

"So so touching.." Dre fake cried, making us laugh.

" Grandbabies soon?" Mercedes granny asked, making my stomach drop to the ground...
