chapter twenty three

Mercedes

I woke up from a sudden kiss on the lips.

"Wake up babe.." August said. I flickered my eyes open as I saw him dressed in a black suit.

"Come on..don't wnna be late fa the funeral.." He said, I yawned as I got up , going to take a shower.

After 15 minutes, I got out doing my hygiene, lotioning myself and putting my underclothes on. I put on a black dress with black pointed toe flats. I put my hair into a curly bun with a black flower stuck inside. I did a smokey eye for makeup with black lipstick. I went back to the room and got my black purse as I went downstairs and saw Dre and August dressed.

"Ohh thanks for coming Dre.." I said smiling.

"No problem.." He said with a slight smile. August helped me down as we went out to the car. Dre decided to drive.

We got to the funeral site and a lot of people were there already. I got out the car, reaching my hand out to Mercedes , helping her out. We went over to the site as Dre followed us. Then my attention got caught on seeing my dad with my 3 nieces.. I havnt talk to him since I confronted him bout bringing kaykay without notice before hand. I just brushed it off as I went over to the family sitting area with Mercedes.

"Hey Lexus.." I said speaking to her as I was in between her and Mercedes.

"Hey August, nice for you to come." She said with a smile.

"No problem at all.." I said. After a while , it was a little more people. The funeral started and I saw tears in Mercedes eyes. I turned her face to me an looked I her eyes , reassuring her that I'm here for her. She slightly smiled as she redirected her attention to the speaker. That's when my attention fell on my nieces again, they didn't seem themselves.

It was the end of the funeral and we was bout to leave before the rain came . I was heading to the car with Mercedes when kaykay came up to me.

"Uncle August can I come with you?" She asked.

"Hey Kay why?"

"Cuz grandad John be touching me , I told him mommy said people shouldn't touch me like that but he said it was ok.." She said and i instantly got mad. I clenched my jaw as I picked her up.

"Go with Mercedes kaykay.." I handed her to her as Mercedes picked her up going to the car.

I stormed over to my dad as he was talking to someone and punched him right in his jaw.

He fell to the ground and looked up to me.

"Boy the fuck you do that for?" He yelled holding his face getting up but I kicked in his gut making him go back down. I grabbed chay and mya .

"Don't you ever touch my nieces again you child molester , you know what fuck it POLICE!!" I yelled they came over.

"Arrest this man, he molested his own grandkids , that makes me sick to my stomach.." I spat as they cuffed him as he had his jaw clenched but so did I. I didn't get all the hits I wanted but it wasn't the place, ill get his ass back.

"Come on!" I told chay and mya as they followed me to the car. They all got in the back with Mercedes and I got in the passenger seat, letting out a loud grunt as we pulled away from the site.
