chapter forty four

He opened the door with a blunt in his hand and looked down at me .

"Mercedes." He said softly as the smoke slipped through his lips.

"Hey August." I said with a slight smile . He opened the door completely, pulling me Into a tight , breathtaking hug.

"I'm so glad you're back." He said as he snuggled his head in the crook of my neck, I hugged him back before letting go.

"But August if you cheat again, imma beat you and the hoe's ass." I said , he smiled .

"Yes ma'am." I slightly smiled , tuckin my lips .

"But I did miss you." I admitted.

"You have no idea how much I've missed you." He said .

"Come help me with my bags." I said , he stepped out cracking the door as he followed me to the car. I opened the truck as I got a suitcase and he got one .

I lightly kicked the door open so I could get in as he followed . I took the suitcase upstairs and he put the other one on top .

"Where's Drew?" I asked.

"Nicole begged me to keep him so he's with her til the morning." He said , I nodded.

"Is that ok?" He added .

"Yeah she's really nice." I said with a smile . He nodded as he put his blunt back up to his mouth .

"Come here." He said walking downstairs. I followed him as he picked me up and placed me on the island counter.

"Ever did shotgun?" He asked, I nodded .

"Yeah it's been a while tho."

"Open!"

I parted my lips slightly as he inhaled his blunt, coming a few inches from my face. He parted his lips, exhaling the smoke to my lips as I inhaled it . It stung but it felt good, haven't did it in a long time .

He stared in my eyes, trailing down to my lips as he leaned in. I placed my hands on the side of his face as our lips moved in synch until he broke it .

"I missed those soft lips." He said making me blush. He slid me off the counter , having me dangling from the floor as he hugged me .

"I love you." He said as he sat me down and pecked my lips .

"Love you too August."

"Ya know, I thought bout it , we really never had a first date." He said , I nodded .

"Yeah we haven't ."

"Imma take you somewhere tomorrow." He said putting the blunt in an ash tray.

I tucked my lips and said ," k."

I went and sat on the couch as I laid down, I missed being at home. August came and got between my legs .

"Wanna watch a movie?"

"Sure." I said sittin up, he got up and went to the kitchen .

"You pick something, imma pop some popcorn."

"I want some rotel." I whined as I scroll through the movies .

"It's gonna take so long." He whined . "I'll do it for you tho." He added .

"It doesn't take that long." I said as I got up, going in there with him.

"Why you still got your shoes on?" He asked, I had forgot .

I took off my scarf and boots and sat them to the side .

"You can take the sweater off too." He said , I smirked as I took it off. So now I'm in my bra,black leggings and socks.

He smirked at me then got out the ingredients and pot .

He cooked the meat then started adding the other stuff as he had the stove on, heating it at the same time.

He pulled me in front of him, having my hand under his as he stirred.

"I know how to stir." I slightly chuckled .

"I know I just wanna make up for the time I wasn't with you. I don't wanna leave your side." He said as he laid his head on my shoulder, starting to kiss my cheek continuously .

I pushed his face back as my face began to burn from hard blushing .

"I love you." He said against my ear .

"You gonna keep saying that?"

"Yep and I don't plan on stopping."

"And you better not stop..and I love you too." I said as I turned around and pecked his lips .

I was sitting in Aug lap as we was watching The Amazing Spider-Man 2 while smashing on rotel.

"Jamie fox looks horrible." I grunted as it was the part when he was in the streets of New York.

"You tellin' me , if I have nightmares of a icy lookin' eel man we gon hav problems ya heard me!" August said , I chuckled .

"Right, Spider-Man so sexy."

"I don't wanna hear allat.'" August said , scrunching up his face .

"Don't be jelly." I cooed biting into anther chip.

"Wateva I ain't you big bully ." He said folding his arms, pouting .

I laughed as I said ," what? I'm not bullying you!."

"Mhmm." He mumbled as he double dipped. I gasped hard.

"What?" He asked knocked off guard .

"Did you jus double dip?" I said fast , looking at him under eyed.

We both laughed .

It was 1:30 in the morning and we was still up watching movies except August he was knocked out sleep across my lap as I was crying my eyes out watching Gimmie Shelter , waking August.

"Babe what's wrong?" He asked yawning as he sat up, I sniffled as he pulled me into his chest, snuggled me .

"Don't watch it if it makes you sad." He said , I pouted .

"I wanna finish it , I gotta know what happens."

"Ok Mercedes , I'll stay up with you then." He said as he got up. He went and got some cover as he sat down and spread it over both of us, bringin me back into his chest .

"Noo Mercedes!"

"Please they said it was good." I said . He sighed .

"Let's watch it another night, you need to go to bed." He said picking me up. I wanted to watch The fault In our Stars but looks like that aint finna happen .

I just wrapped my arms around his neck, I was sleepy but I was just into the movie mood .

He laid me on the bed as he got on the other side under the covers. I got under and he wrapped his arm around me.

"I might actually be able to sleep tonight." He whispered in my ear, making me smile .
