Damaged Heart

chapter thirty seven

Mercedes

I threw the cover off as I swung my legs to the side of the bed. It was days later and we were back at home and I was woken by Drew cries . The crib was temporarily in our bedroom so I walked over to it and picked him up out of it .

"Shhh it's ok baby!" I hushed him as I rocked him back and forth. He was a good , quiet baby so far , rarely ever cried but when he did , it was early in the morning so I've been really tired but I'm fine .

He continued to cry and soon stopped . I gently put him back into his crib . I looked at the time , 9:05 , it took that long to put him back to sleep . I went to the bathroom and started the shower, might as well get ready for the day .

Once I had did all my hygiene , I got dressed in some plain blue jeans , a cream sweater and some brown uggs . It was winter time now and it's really cold . I need to go to the gym since I'm thicker and my clothes are tight . My hair has really grown so I brushed it out and put it in a ponytail and some stud earrings then I heard Drew start crying again . I took one more glance before going back in there but August had him .

"I'll get him." I said , he yawned before handing him to me and going into the bathroom himself .

I smelt Drew and decided to change his diaper . I took him to his room and got all his stuff out before changing and cleaning him up. Once I was done I put him in a fresh diaper and clothes so he could feel better . I swaddled him back up and took him downstairs with me . I had a play pen set up as a bed in the living room so I laid him in it as I went to the kitchen , starting to cook breakfast .

Once I was done , I put August a plate in the microwave and say down close to the pen , and started eating . Then August phone started ringing .

"Aug your phone's ringing!" I yelled . I was bout to just answer it for him but he came downstairs quick and got it .

"Ok thanks babe." He said kissing my cheek then answering it , going to another room . After a few minutes, he came back out .

"Where lil man?" He asked .

"Right there , ya see the pen."

"Oh yeah forgot ." He said ." Where mines ?"

"Microwave ."

"Ahh thanks baby." He said getting it out and came and sat beside me .

"So what yo plans fa today is?" He asked as he started eating .

"I need to go to the store." I said as I was done and got up , washed my plate .

"Ok well I'll stay with D if you wanna just go real quick ." He said looking up at me .

"Ok then well I'm bout to go now."

"Ok you look good baby." He said licking his lips .

"No I'm fat and my clothes are tight."

"Baby you thick and I like it..alot." He said biting his lip.

"Just eat ya food and watch ya baby." I said with a slight smirk before getting my keys , heading out .
