chapter thirty eight

I got back in the house and didn't see August or Drew .

"Aug!" I called out .

"Huh ?" He asked yelling back, he came back down with Drew in his arms .

"Wazzam ?" He said as he was all the way downstairs .

"I was just wondering where y'all was ." I said as I put some of the items , I got , up .

"We was chilling upstairs ." He said as he stood beside the bags.

"Don't have my baby watching nasty stuff." I said , he sniggered.

"Nah , not yet."

"August!!!"

"I'm kidding . What's this?" He asked rattling a box .

"Birth control pills , I am NOT trying to do that again anytime soon." I said as I put up some disher washing liquid .

"Ha well then ." He said putting it back down . "You acting like you not happy bout Lil man." He said as he put him in the pen .

"I am , I just don't want another Lil man ." I said placing my hands on my hips as I was done .

"I'm gonna take some now m shit." I said opening the pill box . He laughed .

"You gotta wait a while anyway since you just had Drew so I wasn't gonna mess witchu." He said sitting on the island chair beside me . I took the pill , swallowing it followed by water right behind whatever .

"Whatever ." I said once I washed it down . I picked up the detergent and got up , going upstairs .

"I'm bout to wash clothes, need something washed ?" I asked .

"Yeah the basket in my closet."

"Ok."

I went up to his closet and got his basket along with mine , til he came up there .

"I'll get it , I forgot you shouldn't be straining ." He said as he picked them both up and took them to the Laundry room. He left me there with them as I started separating them by colors and lights . I got to a pair of his jeans and felt something in them. I took it out and saw it was a whole pack of condoms .

"Aha." I sharply laughed in disbelief. I shook my head as I continued putting them in the washing machine , angrily now and turned it on , grabbing the condoms .

I walked out the room with them in my hand as he was sitting on the couch .

"August care to explain." I said holding them up, he turned to me as his eyes widened .

"It's condoms. You said you didn't want another lil man anytime soon."

"Why would buy these if I didn't say it til 30 minutes ago?"

"Well it's not like we haven't had sex."

"We haven't had sex in 7 months and you never wrapped it up anyways believe me I know cause I wouldn't have gotten fucking pregnant so easily!!" I yelled .

"Whatchu yelling for ? Calm down befo' you wake Drew and you know how that will be."

"You know what August." I started but got cut off by the doorbell. I put the condoms on the couch right beside him before walking to the door , bout to open it .
