"Uhh do I have to Mercedes?" I whined .

"Yes you promised." She looked up to me . I sighed .

We were bout to walk in the building where we was gonna have the counseling session at. After all the help Mercedes been to me lately this was at least I could do , regardlessly of how much I didn't wanna do it .

I opened the front door for her.

"Thanks." She said as she walked In.

"Yep." I grunted as I sat down and she went to the front office.

Look at these niggas looking at me funny. The main reason I didn't wanna come , people thinking I got problems and not 'man' enough to solve them myself.

"August." Mercedes said interrupting my thoughts, I looked at her. "It's ok." She added.

I nodded as I slumped in my chair, they need to c'mon .

Finally, they took us to a back room with 3 chairs, two beside each other while the other one was in front .

I sat in one as Mercedes sat in the other . Then a lady came in and sat in front us .

"Hi i'm Sheila, so Ok so what's the problem?" She asked with a smile.

"There ain't one." I mumbled as I scoffed .

"I just think we're more sexually active then we are emotionally connected." Mercedes explained.

Sheila nodded.

"Oh this is a common problem so don't feel like it's just you guys." She said .

"Now you could maybe get more emotionally connected is try to make a goal of seeing how long you can go without sexual activity and maybe have more deep conversations foreas the emotional connection build." She added as Mercedes nodded.

"Would you like to say anything?" She asked me. I guess she could tell I wasn't to excited by this visit.

"Nope, nothing at all." I said , she nodded.

"Ok well if you do, just say so."

"Believe me , I will."

"Well anything else? Do y'all have any children?" Sheila asked .

"Yes. A son." I said. She nodded.

"Try talking bout him and his future that y'all would like to see."

We nodded as she continued to talk .

The session was over and we was bout to go til Sheila pulled me back .

"Is any special occasions coming up?" She asked. I thought .

"Our year anniversary of dating."

"That's great, go on vacation with just you two, surprise her and try to strive no sex on the trip." She said . I nodded. That was a great idea , I just don't know how this no sex thing gonna work ...

"Ok. Thanks." I said she nodded and I went and caught up with Mercedes .

"That wasn't that bad." Mercedes said with a smile as she crunk the car . I nodded .

"Yeah it was ok." It really wasn't as bad as I thought . Now I gotta think of where I wanna take her, the anniversary is in 2 weeks .

"I'm hungry, are you?" She asked. I nodded .
