I was sipping my hot coffee conversing with Ronnie. He was the last of my family. "You know you are getting an aunt soon." "Oh am I now?" "Yep, she is nice and works with Dr. Wells at S.T.A.R. Labs." "Well, that's convenient." "It is. What about you? It must be odd being in a city that has identical streets." "It's more confusing than odd. At least in Starling I knew where I was, where to go and not to." I replied.

We talked for a good couple hours when Ronnie had to go to S.T.A.R. Labs for a big event. "Maybe I'll see you around." "Okay" I waved goodbye and went to my apartment. It was night and the rain was pouring down hard. I turned the tv on and the news came on. They were talking about STAR Labs. The reporter was speaking quickly and frantically. I shrugged and went and changed out of my wet clothes. I walked back to see the reporter. "We are now being told to evacuate the area-" the reporter was interrupted by static. I heard a rumble. The power went out.

That's when I saw STAR Labs explode. "Oh my god." I said. Suddenly, I was knocked back. I hit the wall with my back. "Ugh!" I heard and felt my room shaking. Part of my ceiling came crashing down on to my furniture. I screamed. I got up as fast I could and ran for the door making sure to grab my phone. I heard a crash outside my room. I couldn't open the door. I tried to call Ronnie. He wouldn't pick up.  The ceiling was now coming down in small chunks. The chandelier crashed 2 feet away from me. I screamed in terror. I was trapped. I couldn't use my windows because, I was on the 4th floor of the building. I called CCPD, "This is CCPD how can we-" "Help! Please send help! My apartment is collapsing in on me! I can't escape! Send someone!" The line disconnected. My refrigerator tipped over and fell with a loud clang. I looked up to a large chunk of my ceiling come loose and fall. It hit me and I was knocked unconscious.

I woke up in a room. I looked around. "Where am I?" "The hospital." said someone. I looked over to see a woman with brown hair. "Who are you?" "I'm Caitlin Snow. I was your uncle's fiancee." "I looked at my arms and leg. They were bandaged up. "Where's Ronnie?" I said as I looked at Caitlin. There were tears in her eyes and tears were already rolling down her face. "Ronnie is dead. He didn't make it. He died in the explosion." She told me. "No. No he didn't. Ronnie isn't dead. He can't be." I said afraid. "Hazel. Ronnie was there with me. He went to the accelerator to check it before it exploded." Caitlin said crying. She got up and left. She glanced back at me. "I'm so sorry." Then she left. I stood up regardless of the pain I felt in my leg. I heard voices of nurses, doctors, and family members all around me. I heard a flatline of an EKG. Next door to my room. I looked over to see a familiar face. It was Barry Allen. The doctor backed up and declined his head. Then there was a beep on the EKG and there was a continuing heartbeat.
