I was trying so hard to avoid Barry but sometimes his cuteness is too much for me to avoid. Yeah I said that. Not to his face! That would be weird and embarrassing for me. I was going to meet Iris at a ceremony. She told me to dress up nice. I arrived and stood next to her. "So Barry is supposed to meet us here." Iris said casually. "What?! I didn't agree to that." "Too bad he's coming. I don't understand why you avoid Barry so much. He's a nice guy." Iris said. "It's not that I don't like the guy. It's just what he does to me." With my heart. I said. "Oh?" Iris said with one eyebrow cocked and smiled. I rolled my eyes at her. "Hey Iris." Barry said as he walked up to us. He didn't even look at me. Almost like he pretended like I wasn't even standing next to her. "Hey Barry." Iris said.

I walked away unnoticed to stand alone and away from Barry. Seeing how that's what he wanted probably, I walked away. I looked around at the people assembled and realized that I wasn't meant to be here. I had no idea what was going to happen. Some special guy is doing something for something or someone. I don't know. So, I stood waiting for the ceremony to start.

I was in the process of drinking a glass of champagne when a gun went off. I was suddenly in my past. "We will be fine Hazel." My brother said with a smirk. "Are you sure? We never come down this street." "I'm telling you we will be okay." There were flashes of memories and then the dead body of my brother Scott lying on the ground with a bullet hole in his chest. I was brought back into reality when I saw people lining up against the wall of the building. "Well...someone wants a bullet in her head." Said a man. "Hazel, get over here." Barry said. I was frozen to the spot. What is it with me and getting caught in the middle of life threatening situations? That's all I've been dealing with ever since I moved down to Central City. Gee, I'm almost starting to think that I would have been safer in Starling City with the psychotic archer.

"Barry I can't move." I said. "Why won't Hazel move?" Iris asked in a whisper. "Whatever she was thinking about before must have put her in a state of pure terror. Her fear is making her unable to move." Barry said. "I'm going to count down from three to one and if you aren't standing by the wall by then. Well...the janitor will have a lot more to clean up than just trash." Said the man.

"Hazel you have to move for me. Please! Hazel! Move!" Barry said sternly. I tried to but my legs seem to have a mind of their own. "I'm trying to!" I said. "3." "Hazel! Please come over here!" Barry said pleading. "2." I closed my eyes and took in a deep breath. I felt the barrel of the gun press against the back of my head. "1." I heard the trigger being pulled.

I was suddenly moved. How am I not dead? I should be dead, bleeding out on the floor. I opened my eyes and looked down at the hands that were currently around my waist. They were in red gloves. I turned around to find the person was already gone along with the man who was about to shoot me in the head.

I looked around to see that Barry was also gone. I was sitting on the floor trying to take in what just happened. I was saved again. By a man who was super fast, why not?

I was back home sitting on my bed with my knees up to my chest. I took a shower and was crying on my bed silently. I can't believe how much danger I've been in since I moved here. I wiped a tear away. There was a knock on the door. "It's open." I said shakily. The door opened to reveal Barry. He peered his head inside. "Hey," He said with a kind smile. "Can I come in?" Barry asked. I nodded. I wiped away another tear. "You know you scared me today." I looked at him. "I'm sorry." I said as I looked away, feeling guilty now. "Hey you're alive though." Barry said as he used his finger to bring my chin up. "Barely." "Hazel." Barry said. I started to cry. "All I've done while I've been here is have an apartment collapse on me, nearly get hit by a car, and now nearly get shot in the back of the head." I said my voice breaking. "Come here." Barry said as he invited me into his arms for a hug. I wrapped  my arms around his neck and hugged him crying. "Why am I the way I am?" I asked. "What do you mean?" "Always in the wrong place at the wrong time." "I don't know." "I think the universe is trying to kill me." Barry let out a laugh. "No! I don't think the universe is against you, Hazel." "I'm sorry." I said in a whisper. "It's okay. You're fine you're nowhere near any type of dangerous situation." Barry said. I nodded. We stayed there hugging each other until I fell asleep listening to the calm beat of Barry's heart.
