I was laying in bed when I woke up with the covers on me. It was 3 AM, I looked over to see Barry in the bed laying next to me. His right arm was wrapped around my waist. He was still asleep. I smiled and went back to sleep with my head on his chest listening to his heartbeat. His body was warm. I didn't want to go anywhere.

30 minutes later, I was waken up by a soft hand on my face. I opened my eyes to see Barry looking at me smiling. I smiled at him and nestled my head back into his chest like a puppy would its mother. I heard Barry sigh. I opened my eyes to see he was looking at the ceiling. He looked down at me and brought his arm up higher. "I figured with all that has happened to you. I would comfort you and help you sleep." "Even it meant you had to sleep in the bed with me?" "Even if it means I have to sleep with the horrible terrible Hazel Raymond." Barry said with a soft laugh and a smile. I smiled. "I would still sleep beside you if it means you'll feel better and safer." Barry said. "You're the best person I've ever met Barry Allen." I said getting sleepier. I heard Barry chuckle softly. "You just go to sleep Hazel and I'll be here when you wake up." Barry said in a soft whisper in my ear. The only words I heard were, "I'll be here when you wake up." I never felt so happy in my life.

Barry meant each and every word last night because I woke next to him. The only differences being he's turned on his side now and he pulled me closer to him when I was sleeping. Both of his arms were wrapped around me. I slipped my hands into both of his hands gently and laid there with my eyes closed. I heard him breathing softly. I didn't want to move. I wanted to stay like this.

A few minutes later, Barry woke up. He yawned and nestled his head to where his mouth was brushing the back of my neck. I smiled. "I can bet you 10 dollars that you are smiling right now aren't you?" Barry said, his cool breath touching the back of my neck every time he spoke. "You would be 10 dollars richer." I said. "See I told you." Barry said.

I started to get up when Barry pulled me back down to him. "10 more minutes." Barry said as he opened his eyes and gazed into mine. I smiled at him, "Okay 10 more minutes." I said as laid back down facing him. Barry pulled me close to his body. He put his right arm behind my back and his left arm was busy messing with the hair on my head. I wrapped my arms around him and squeezed. "Just a question of out of curiosity, does this mean you'll stop avoiding me?" "What do you think?" I said in a smile as I looked into his eyes. "I want to say yes but I'm not sure." "It's a good thing you're smart, Barry." "Whew! I got worried there for a second that you were going to say no." Barry said. "I can surprise people when I want to." I said. He chuckled.

That's when Barry surprised me. With a kiss. He kissed me square on the lips. "What was that for?" I said with wide eyes. My breathing stopped for a few seconds. "To put a little hop in your step today. Also a piece of me will be with you all day today." He said. "You know you can be quite poetic Barry." " I know." He said with a smile. "Well it's only fair if I give you a piece of me to you." "Sounds good to me. Go ahead." Barry said looking into my eyes searching. I slowly moved to his lips. My lips grazed his. I pulled him closer to me and kissed him on the lips.
