I walked out of STAR Labs overwhelmed. It was night when I got home. I walked into the front door and closed it. "Oh my god, Hazel!!" Joe exclaimed. He stood up from his seat and looked at me. "Are you ok?" "Yes I'm fine I'm going to bed." I said as I walked up the stairs to my room.
I closed my eyes, I'm just reliving yesterday's nightmare. I reopened my eyes and still felt cold. I looked down at my hands to see that they were cold and looked like ice. "WHAT THE HECK?!" I said under my breath. I quickly closed my eyes and shook my head. I opened them and it was gone. I stood in the middle of the room. I shivered. When I did I felt an intense amount of heat erupt and travel up and down my body. I slowly looked down to see that I was on fire. Literally I was on fire and I wasn't dying. I tried to scream but the amount of fear in me was incredibly high so I couldn't make a sound. I went out the bedroom window really fast. I was breathing super fast. I was hyperventilating and my heart was beating so fast it felt like one continuous beat. I tried to get the flames off of me but they wouldn't go away.
I saw a familiar figure walking to the house. It was Barry. "BARRY!" I screamed. "Hazel? Oh my god. Hazel!" Barry said as he ran to me. "You're on fire!" "YOU THINK I DON'T KNOW THAT??!!! MAKE IT STOP!" I said. Then something freaky happened. I started to float. "Barry. Barry! Get me down!" I screamed as I started to fly away off into the distance. Barry just stood there shocked. "DON'T JUST STAND THERE!!! GET ME DOWN!" I said as I began to cry. "Right...uh." Barry said. Maybe if I calm down be cool and collected it will go away. Yeah the flames went away...of course it was when I was 25 feet off the ground. I screamed as I fell towards the ground fast. I hit the ground hard. "Ugggh." I moaned in pain. While I was on fire my clothes were scorched so much they looked like like punk clothes all torn and ashy.
I pushed myself up arching my back as I laid on the ground. Barry ran over to me and was next to me. My eyes were blue as I calmed down and then my eyes eventually went back to normal. Joe and Iris ran out the house. "What's all the screaming about? Hazel? I thought you were inside?" "Oh my god." Iris said as she ran back inside and returned outside with a blanket. She ran over to me and wrapped the blanket around me. I shivered and pulled the blanket around me tightly. I walked to the house with Iris' arm around my shoulder.
I entered the completely and utterly shocked. I just flew into the air! I got into my bedroom and sat on the bed, staring at the floor. My face was blank and showed no emotion. Probably the amount of adrenaline running through my system right now. I can't comprehend what just happened.
I woke up in a grey sweatshirt and sweatpants. These are Barry's clothes. I got out of the bed and went to open the door but hesitated. I better not get burned by a scorching doorknob. I grabbed the doorknob and slowly made my way down the stairs. I stuffed my hands in the jacket pockets. Barry wasn't up yet, so I had to wait around the house while I waited for the others to wake up. I tried seeing what I can do to occupy myself. I kept looking at my hands. What if I just...No that is a bad idea. I walked around the house and sighed.
I have been waiting for a 2 hours for the others to wake up. I started singing softly as I stared out at the window looking at the sky. I looked down at my hands and gazed at them in wonder and horror. They started to shake slightly. Two warm hands grabbed my own and held them there. "I had a feeling you would be up earlier than usual." "What woke you up? Your concern for me or me singing?" "Although your singing was stupendous, I was concerned about you Hazel. I mean you just floated off into the air and then dropped 25 feet off the ground." "What's wrong with me?" "Nothing is wrong with you. From now on, you're like me...meta-human." he said as he hugged me. "Come on let's get you to S.T.A.R. Labs." "I'm pretty sure Cisco and Caitlin have many unanswered questions." He said as he took my hand and stood up. I slipped on a pair of Converse and shoved my phone and wallet into the jacket pocket. Barry opened the door and invited me to his comforting arms. I walked over and wrapped my right arm around him. We walked to STAR Labs talking about Scott's case.
"I wonder if she is like a better cooler version of Weather Wizard?" "Seriously that's the first thing pops into your mind about Hazel's powers?" Caitlin said. Barry and I entered the Cortex. "Hey just the girl I wanted to talk to." Cisco said. "Hey Cisco and Caitlin." "How are you doing?" Caitlin asked. "As good as a girl can be finding out she has powers." I said as I sighed. "Well, I was wondering once we figure out your powers work or what your powers are in general...I was wondering if you'd like to become a superhero?" Cisco asked. "Um...I don't know I mean I don't even know what my powers are." I said in a nervous chuckle. "Oh you'll be fine." Barry said. "Okay fine I'll be a superhero." I said. "Alright! I gotta get your suit...and superhero name." "Um...don't you think it's important to actually know what my powers are first?" I asked. "Right." Cisco said.
