"I know who did this." Barry said to Joe. " Who?" Joe asked. "Clyde Mardon." "Oh god not this." Joe said rolling his eyes, annoyed. "Joe listen to me. Iris and I were walking and then all of a sudden a thick fog comes out of nowhere. I know you think Clyde Mardon is dead but he's alive and I think he can control the weather....And you don't believe me...you never believe me." Barry said as he shook his head. "You want to do this now? Alright fine." Joe said. "Dad. Don't." Iris said. "No. He needs to hear this. Clyde Mardon is dead. There is no controlling the weather, Barry. Just like there was no lightning storm that happened in your house that night!-" "-I know what I saw!" Barry said interrupting Joe. "No you don't Barry! It was just a way for a little boy's mind to deal with the death of his mother! Your father killed your mother! I'm sorry son! But I know it! The jury knows it! And he knows it! Now I have raised you and have never asked for anything from you but for once I ask for you to see things as they are!" Joe raged on.
Barry just stood there, his mouth opened like he wanted to say something but nothing came out. He shook his head and walked away frustrated. He flung the caution tape over his head as he walked under it. Iris looked at me, "Let's get you home, Hazel." Iris said with a kind smile. I nodded my head slowly.
I arrived at home and went upstairs to my bedroom. I tried to go to sleep but found that I couldn't. Every time I closed my eyes I would see the car coming towards me. I got up and tried walking around to clear my mind. It was working until it returned again.
It was 9 PM when Barry and Joe came home. Joe was all bruised and cut but he was alright. I was finally able to go to sleep when I saw how lucky I was to be alive. All thanks to a mysterious person who brought me to the other side of the street in under a second.
