Chapter 11

I woke up in the bed next to Barry. I slowly tried getting out of the bed. Barry's arm tightened around me. I looked behind me to see his eyes closed and him smiling. "You didn't think you could sneak away from me now did you?" Barry said. "No. I just..." Barry opened his eyes to peer at me. He cocked an eyebrow and smiled. "I don't have to work today. I'm off." "So, what are you going to do on your day off, Hazel?" "I don't know I might look into a case that I've been trying to solve." "Hazel. Is this Scott's case?" I scratched the back of my neck. "Hazel." "I'm just going off my memories. My terrible, terrible memories." I looked at Barry to see that he was looking at me. My hands rubbed against the body of Barry. 

Barry propped himself onto his elbows and looked at me as he cocked his head to his side. "What?" I asked. "Oh nothing...Just admiring how beautiful you are," Barry said with a sweet smile. "You were dancing the night away." Barry said. "Oh was I?" I stood up and stretched. Barry got out of the bed. I heard noises and soon the voices of Iris and Joe downstairs talking and laughing. Barry looked for his shirt. "Hazel? Where's my shirt?" "Uh...I don't know. Oh here it is." I said as I picked it up off the wooden floor. I changed into a maroon shoulder-less shirt and a pair of light blue skinny jeans. "Barry?" "What's up?" "I was wondering can you help me with Scott's case?" "Absolutely!" "Really?" "Sure I would ask the same of you." Barry said. "Thanks." "In fact, I might have someone who can help us if you like. He'd have to stay anonymous, though." "Um... yeah sounds good to me." "Cool."

There was a knock at the door. "Hazel. It's time to get your butt out of the bed." it was Iris.  Then we heard a knock on Barry's door, "Barry get up." I opened the door.  "Barr? Are you-" Joe asked as he knocked on Barry's door. I opened the door. We both walked out of my room. "-in there?" Joe said slowly as Iris and Joe looked over at us. "Oh, umm sorry, I guess you guys are up and sharing the same hairstyle" Joe said as he pointed to our hair. I looked at Barry's hair and he looked at mine. Barry's hair was standing up straight and had a bad case of bedhead. Barry made the face that yelled, "Yeesh!" when you looked at something. Iris looked at Barry and me then back at Barry. "See I told you Hazel...you can't avoid a guy like Barry he's too nice of a guy and too kind." Iris said. "Yes you did...multiple multiple times." I said as I looked at Barry who was busy looking at my crazy bedhead. "I'm sorry but you guys need to go do something with your hair because it looks like you guys have been stuck in desert and got snagged on something." Joe said in a chuckle. "Ha ha very funny Joe." Barry said. 

After Barry and I fixed our hair, we headed downstairs for some breakfast. I grabbed a two glasses and  got orange juice from the fridge made some for Barry and I. I gave it to Barry and he started downing the drink. I was in the middle of drinking my orange juice when Joe spoke. "So, Hazel how long have you and Barry been-" Joe asked as he motioned upstairs. When I realized what he was talking about, I almost choked on my drink. I coughed. I cleared my throat. "Uh...I have been crashing in Hazel's room to calm her mind after everything that has happened to her." Barry said. "Yeah. I find that having his presence in the room takes my mind off the terrible things I have endured." I said. Joe and Iris was trying to stifle laughter and a smile. "Sure sure. Whatever you say. But you guys better not be doing anything ridiculous, or else you can....." Joe said. "WHOA! WHOA! JOE!" Barry interrupted. "Alright alright! I'll stop." Joe said. "I will say you guys are so cute trying not to be affectionate in front of us." "No.... we are just showing our mature professionalism." I said in a smirk. "Yeah." Barry said as he hung his right arm off the edge of the chair. Joe laughed. "Okay. Okay. Just know, I have my eye on you two.
