A few weeks have passed since my adventure at the club and danced the night with Barry. I was at a crime scene with Barry looking at cold blasts, scorches, and literally gold blasts. A man was enveloped in the gold. "Hey Barry!" Barry and I turned around, it was Eddie. "Hey Eddie what's- UGH!" Barry was interrupted by Eddie as he punched him in the jaw. I jumped connection with wide eyes. "Iris told me everything...the worse part...I thought we were friends." Eddie said as he walked away. "Hey! If you two guys got beef then take it outside. If you continue to fight in here I will suspend you both. Got it?!" Captain shouted. Barry nodded with a wince. He was holding his jaw.
Barry was sitting on set of steps as I dabbed at Barry's jaw with a damp cloth. It was cut and bloody, from a Eddie's college ring. I wiped away the blood. "You okay? He hit you pretty hard." I asked. "Yeah I'm fine. It's just a cut." Barry said with a brief wince. "Okay." I packed up my C.S.I. kit and grabbed Barry's hand as we went home.
Barry and were talking when we entered the house. He kissed me on the lips, 2hich had turned out to be a bad idea as he grunted in pain. I looked at him. "Why don't you let your lip heal before you go around placing them on mine." I said taking my jacket and placing it on the coat hangar. He nodded his head as he received a call. "Hey Cisco, what's up? Okay I'll be right over." Barry looked up at me. "I know...you gotta leave." I said as Barry turned to leave the house.
It had been 5 and half hours since Barry left. I was sitting on the sofa when the front door flew open. "Surprise! A little birdie told me that you're friend with a speedy red fellow." Captain Cold stated as he walked in accompanies by his partner, Heatwave. "This place will go up in flames!" Heatwave yelled. "Not now Mick." Cold said calmly. "I was promised the use of my heatgun." Mick complained. "Later...on the Flash." Cold said. My heart was pounding so loud I couldn't hear anything. Heatwave walked over to me and punched me in the face.
I woke up slowly. "Wakey wakey, eggs and bakey." said Cold. "What do you want with me?" I questioned my head throbbing. "Nothing really, I'm using you as leverage to get what I want." Snart said. "Why me?" I said as I struggled to break free of the handcuffs that were cuffed to the chair. "Because Hazel...you are friends with our speedy little adversary." Snart explained. "I don't know what you are talking about. I'm not friends with the Flash...he's just saved me two times. I wouldn't call that a friendship. Now let me go, you bastard!" I said. "Mick." Cold said. Heatwave walked over to me and punched two more times. One in the jaw and the other in stomach. The wind was knocked out of me from the impact. "Mick. I think one punch would have sufficed." Snart voiced. "She said 'bastard' I hate that word." Mick added. "Does that mean you had to punch the kind lady another time? No." Snart asked. "You know...I don't get you. One minute you're cold and ruthless, the next you're kind. Choose a personality, Snart." I quipped. Snart scoffed with a smirk.
"Why am I here?" I asked with a glare. "Because any second now our little red friend will zoom in here to save the day. Except one small problem. He better have what I want or Mick will roast you like a pig over a campfire." Snart threatened. I swallowed wide-eyed. "Let her go, Snart." A voice announced. "Ah. Right on time." Snart said as he stood up and looked behind him. There stood the Flash. "Not 'til I get what I want." Cold countered. "You're not getting it." Flash argued. "Give it to me, or your little girlfriend becomes an ice sculpture." Snart said coldly. "What?" I mumbled confused. "Did he not tell you? Wow. That must hurt." Snart teased. "Better him tell you than me." Snart added. "Let. Her. Go." Flash spat. "I'll give you 3 seconds to get me what I want or she dies. Get it here before then...I might let her live." Snart spoke giving the red-clad vigilante an ultimatum. The next instant, Flash was gone. Snart looked at me and counting the seconds. "3. 2." Snart muttered. "Here. It's everything. Now let Hazel go." Flash said with a box on the floor in front of him. "Slide the box over." Snart ordered. Flash slid it over and Snart opened it. "Pleasure doing business with you, Flash." Cold aimed his gun at the right side of my stomach and fired. The blast hit me and started to travel up and down my torso. I screamed. "Why did you do that?!" Flash shouted. "Because Flash...I'm a criminal, a liar, and I hurt people, and I rob them. See you later Flash. Come on Mick we got banks to rob, people to kill." Snart said as he walked out of the building. Mick left first, there was a roar of a motorcycle and then they were gone. The pain was overwhelming. "I'm going to get you out of here, okay? Just hang on." Flash said as he cut through the handcuffs. He picked me up and ran.
"Hazel, I need you to open your eyes for me, okay. Can you do that for me? Hazel?" Flash said. I tried keeping my eyes open but the cold blast was making my heart get colder and colder. My eyes were fluttering. "Guys! I need help! It's Hazel!" I heard other voices. "Oh my god." I looked and saw a familiar face. "Hazel you are going to be just fine. I need you to keep your eyes open for a few more seconds if you can. Is that ok?" It was Caitlin. I looked around and saw a figure in red. I couldn't see the face but they had brown hair. Then my heart got colder and I blacked out.
