Once Poseidon and Shea had finished reading the prophecy, Shea had broken down in tears while Poseidon held his beloved wife in his arms as he tried to comfort her. "Shea, don't worry my little angelfish I will not let Moira harm you again, and I especially will not let her harm any of our children," said Poseidon. "How do you plan to keep her out? If she kills Amarédasse before her eighteenth birthday, then darkness will engulf our domain for eternity and I will lose not only our daughter, but I will also loose both you and our children. Poseidon, I cannot bear the thought of losing any of our children, as much as I cannot bear the possibility of losing you again,*" "Neither can I Shea, and I know of a way, but I'll need both Zeus and Hades' help," Poseidon said as he left the room with his brothers for they needed to talk alone.

After Poseidon left Shea alone with their children, he and his brothers went to a separate room to talk about his plan. "Zeus, Hades do you both remember the barrier spell that we used to protect Olympus during the Titanomachy?*" Poseidon asked his brothers as they stared at him in wonder. "Yes we remember that spell," answered Zeus. "Poseidon, what do you have planned?" Hades asked wondering what was going through his brother's mind. "I'm planning on using it to keep Moira out, along with anyone that means to harm myself and my family. Also until Moira is found, Amarédasse will not be allowed anywhere outside the barrier, save for Olympus, same goes for the rest of my children until they come of age, it's the only way I can keep them all safe. I cannot risk losing any of my children and, due to a hardheaded brother of mine,*I almost lost Shea once I can't risk losing her again," Poseidon said as he explained his plan and the reasons behind it. "But Poseidon, even if you cast it, the spell alone will not be strong enough to keep Moira out," said Zeus.

"It will be Zeus when the three of us combine our powers to create the barrier simultaneously," said Poseidon. "He is right Zeus, after all we did it once before to protect Olympus we can do it again in order to keep Poseidon's family safe," Hades said agreeing to help his brother in his own way. "Alright, I will do it, after all if it was one of my own children I would do the same thing," said Zeus. That very night, with the combined powers of the skies and the heavens, the earth and the sea, and the dead and the underworld, a barrier was placed, around the area surrounding Poseidon's palace and the grotto where Poseidon met with his people, that prevented anyone who meant any harm to either Poseidon or his family from entering. Once the barrier had been placed, Poseidon had an order issued that forbid any of his children, especially Amarédasse, from going anywhere outside the barrier before they were of age. After the barrier had been erected and the order had been established, Zeus and Hades then left with their families in order to return to their own domains.

Once his brothers had left, Poseidon went into his daughter's nursery where he found Shea rocking Amarédasse in her arms. "Shea I'm sorry, but I don't know what else to do," Poseidon said forlornly thinking that his wife might be angry with him. Upon hearing those words, Shea walked up to her husband and gave him a loving kiss. "Poseidon it's alright, I know the reason behind it, so do the children, and we all understand. Also I would have done the same thing," Shea said assuring Poseidon that she wasn't angry with him. "I just hope we can keep the prophecy a secret from her. I just want her to live a normal and happy life with all of us and not feel like the weight of the whole world is on her shoulders," Poseidon said as he gazed down at his sleeping daughter. "I know I feel the same way," Shea said as she placed Amarédasse in her cradle. Once Amarédasse was fast asleep in her cradle, Poseidon and Shea left the nursery with the hope that she, along with her brothers and sisters, will forever remain safe.

Meanwhile, in a sea cave on the farthest corners of the ocean, Moira had heard about the new law Poseidon had enacted, along with the news of the barrier that he and his brothers had put up in order to keep her out. "So Poseidon has decided to hide his youngest daughter away in his palace and keep the prophecy a secret from her. Not only will he not be able to keep her hidden away forever, but he will not be able to keep the prophecy a secret from her either. For children, even the children of gods, grow and one day his precious princess will have lots of questions and once I have killed her then the ocean will be mine for eternity," Moira told her "followers" knowing that all she had to do was wait.

End of Part I

*Like the old saying goes: once is enough.

*In Greek mythology, the Titanomachy was a ten-year long war that the Olympian Gods fought against the Titan Gods which led to Zeus, along with Hades and Poseidon, overthrowing their father Cronus, the God of the Harvest and Time, and King of the Titans.

*i.e. Zeus.
