Once at the next ledge, we sat our stuff down to take in our surroundings. The ledge was completely different from the ledges before, it was kinda small and led into a cave. As we were looking into the cave, it started to snow.

"It's beautiful..." Flora said in awe.

"It's cold." I added as I shivered when a snowflake landed on my nose.

"We should go in the cave to keep warm." Aspen told us.

Aidan shot him a glare before saying. "That could be an easy way to get killed. For all we know the Ice Queen could be waiting for us inside."

"You got a better idea?" I asked him as I picked up our stuff and went into the cave. Aspen followed suit with Flora and Sarel on his tail.

"No murderess people in here!" Flora yelled once we got well enough inside.

I hear Aidan moan in frustration before he started to enter the cave. The cave was beautiful, it had crystals of every kind, a glowing blue lake and bio luminescent vegetation surrounding it. Sarel started a fire and started to make lunch. I walked over to lake and dipped my hand in the water. When I withdrew my hand from the water it was lightly glowing before it faded away. I looked at the water in awe, I then took off my coat and changed into a short dress that I brought with me.

"Lav what are you doing?" I heard Aidan ask as he walked over to me.

"I'm going for a swim," I answered "You should too."

Before he had time to respond I dove into the lake. When I surfaced Aidan had taken off his jacket and started to dive in. When he surfaced beside me, his smiling face was glowing blue and his black hair was speckled with blue. I laughed as I splashed him.

"What was that for." He yelled as I started to swim off. I went under water and opened my eyes, I could see perfectly. There were crystals covering the bottom of the lake and the fish were multiple  bright colors. I swam to the other side of the lake to catch my breath, when I looked to find Aidan I didn't see him. I saw Sarel, Flora, and Aspen sitting around the fire talking, but no Aidan. Then something brushed up against my leg, as I jumped I turned to see Aidan.

"Why do you keep scaring me?" I asked in higher tone than normal.

"Because it's funny" He answered as he started to laugh. I punched him in the shoulder and turned away with my arms crossed.

"You're mean." I stated.

"I'm sorry" He responded sweetly as he wrapped his arms around my shoulders and kissed me on my cheek. I blushed and turned to face him, while still in his arms I kissed him on the lips.

"Your forgiven." I smiled. We stayed there looking at each other wondering what to say next when Sarel said lunch was ready. Aidan and I got out of the lake, speckled with florescent blue. We sat down to eat our sandwiches and we started talking.

"So... Aspen, how come your not like your sister?" Flora asked before taking a bite out of her sandwich.

"Well, lets start off by saying Frostine and I both were born with ice powers. When she fell in love with a guy that didn't love her back she let her powers take over to help ease the pain. Then one day she was gone, our parents and I looked everywhere for her. I found her ice palace that she made and she wasn't her usual kind warmhearted self. She was cold, mean, and her heart was made of ice. So I ran and never looked back." Aspen answered trying to hold back tears.

I leaned over and gave him a hug, he lightly wrapped his arms around me and started to sob into my shoulder. As he cried I started to rub his back whispering comforting words into his ear. When he was done we continued talking until it was dark and the only light we had was from the plants and the fire. Sarel put out the fire so we could see the lake and plants in all its glory. I watched the lake glow as it faded away and I started to dream.
