Summer again

Chapter 14

A flash a light clouded my vision as a women walked towards me. She was wearing a gold flowing dress and an elegant golden head piece. 'My child there is so much I haven't told you.' she said with a sweet tone as she held out her arms. 'About me, about you...' I started to tear up at the sight of her, she felt like home, I ran to her wanting to hug her but I passed through her. I turned back to look at her. 'What is it?' I responded starting to cry. 'You have an amazing gift that will help you in this journey.' She answered with a sweet smile. 'Why now? Why didn't you tell me earlier?' I asked with slight anger. 'There was a cold entity surrounding you and your friends, blocking me from you. In this cave you are in, it is protecting you from this dangerous entity.' 'Who are you? Wha...What is this gift?' I ask feeling myself starting to wake up again. 'I am Aurora, Goddess of Dawn, and I'm afraid that you have to figure out that gift for yourself. For I am out of time.' She said as she placed her hands on my shoulders. 'Don't go! please!' I yelled as she faded away in a flash of light.

My eyes fluttered open as I heard the crackling of the fire.

"Morning sunshine!" I heard Aidan say. I turned to face him and I saw that everyone else was awake.

"Morning." I yawned as I rubbed my eyes. "What time is it?"

"Maybe... around lunch time." Sarel answered. "When we woke up we noticed we have been snowed in."

"I think the Ice Queen was the one who caused this. She's been causing all the rest of this mess so it has to be her." Aspen added.

I looked over to the mouth of the cave and sure enough there was a wall of snow blocking us out. I felt something stir in my chest, it felt was warm and it didn't last long before it faded away.

"Well that's good because this cave protects us." I stated as I got up and started walking over to them.

"What do you mean?" Flora asked with confusion.

"Last night I had a dream. The goddess Aurora said that this cave is protecting us from the Ice Queen. She also said that I had a gift, but she didn't tell me what it was." I answered as I sat down next to Aidan.

"I had a similar dream." Aidan responded in astonishment. "But the goddess Hespera."

As he said that I felt that same feeling stir in my chest, but a little stronger and it didn't go away. It felt like something was trying to wake up inside me. Something that was there forever, but was forced deep down into a hole of nothingness. I raised my hand to my face, I noticed it was glowing slightly, I looked around but no one seemed to notice. I placed my hand inside the pockets of my pants and tryed not to pay it any mind.

Aidans pov:

It was dark and the woman seemed to appear from the darkness. She was wearing a long flowing dress that shifted between dark blues and purples and a simple silver head piece. 'Young one... There is much I need to tell you with so little time.' She said with mystical voice. 'Who are you?' I asked the woman. 'I am Hespera, goddess of dusk. You have an amazing gift that is the opposite of a friend of yours, and it will help you on your journey.' She answered. 'What is that gift and who is that friend?' I questioned more. She placed a pale hand on my cheek and moved her face real close to mine. 'All in good time child, all in good time.' and she faded away leaving me in darkness.

When I woke up from the dream, everyone was awake except Lavender. When my eyes fell over towards Lavender something cold stired inside my chest before fading away. I got up to sit with everyone else as Sarel started another fire.

I told them about my dream, evryone was in aw that both Lavender and I were both visited by goddesses last night. Lavender was sitting there quietly, I noticed that her face was shimmering slightly and her eyes were closed.

"Lav are you okay?" I ask her quietly.
