I slowly opened my eyes and my vision was filled with firelight. Once my eyes adjusted to my surroundings I saw Aidan, he was sitting near the fire with his back to me. His face was in his hands and he looked pitiful.

"Aidan?" I asked weakly.

His head rose from his hands as he looked around confused, his eyes met mine and he got up from where he was sitting and rushed over to my side and kneeled.

"Lav your awake." He said happily.

"It's not like I was on the brink of death or anything." I joked giving a weak laugh. Aidan let out a small laugh before taking my hand in his.

"I'm happy you're alright." He smiled. I slowly sat up so we were eye level and I smiled back.

"Thank you" I told him.

"Thank you for what?" He asked confused.

"For everything. Ever since I met you, you were so nice and caring. You always wanted to protect me and..." I explained before Aidan cut me off with a kiss. His hands wrapped around my waist pulling me closer to him till I was sitting on his lap. I put my arms around his neck and my hands started messing with his hair. I loved him and that was all that mattered at the moment, not the Ice Queen or my hurt leg, the world around us seemed to disappear leaving Aidan and I sitting there with each other. I felt Aidan pull away and our eyes met.

"I love you." He whispered out of breath.

"I love you too, and there is no place I'd rather be." I whispered back smiling with my face turning pink.

Aidan kisses my forehead before going to his sleeping area. I couldn't get to sleep after that, I rolled over on my side and started playing with the bracelet Aidan gave me at the festival. After awhile I started to hum the magic flute, it reminded me of when Aidan and I were near the lake as I washed my clothes. It was bright and happy, it felt long ago now but I wanted to keep the memory with me forever.

In the morning, I woke up to the smell of meat on the fire. I opened my eyes and saw that Aidan was cooking breakfast.

"Morning." I said drowsily as I tried to get up. Aidan got up to help me get a seat next to the fire. Once I sat down Aidan sat next to me and continued cooking.

"Morning" he smiled "How did you sleep?"

"Pretty good." I answered, I suddenly remembered the events of last night and my face turned pink. I looked down towards the ground with a small smile on my face. "What about you?"

"Okay not the best." He stated. We sat there in awkward silence for a good while when Aidan handed me a small plate with some meat on it. "Eat up"

I took the plate from him and starting eating the mystery meat.

"What type of meat is this?" I ask in between bites.

"Deer meat, I got up early to go hunting." He answered.

"It's good." I replied before putting another bite in my mouth. Aidan let out a small laugh before getting a piece of deer meat for himself.

One after the other the rest of the group woke up. They all grabbed a piece of deer meat and ate breakfast. As everyone ate I decided to start a conversation.

"So... what are we gonna do today?" I ask awkwardly.

"Hang out here, work on our skills, wash clothes..." Sarel answered.

"Oh..."I replied a little disappointed.

"We don't want to travel when your hurt, Lav." Aspen explained

"Well is their anything I can do today?" I asked them.

"Nope." Aidan shook his head.

"Nah." Aspen replied.

"Not that I can think of." Sarel answered.

"I don't think so." Flora stated.

"Oh," I mumbled. "So I'm useless."

"What was that Lav?" Aidan asked me.

"Nothing, never mind." I answered coldly. I got up and limped over to a large shady tree and sat down against the trunk.

Everyone went off after breakfast to do different stuff and I was left alone at the campsite. I tried practicing my power but I couldn't doing sitting down so I just sat there looking off into space.
