Joan's POV
My phone vibrates notifying that I have a message.
On the plane! I'll call u when I reach.xoxo
With my partner in crime off the screen this is gonna be a boring vacation.
Tick!
A sound startles me. I get up from the bed a look around.
Tick! It's coming from the window. I walk over to the window and move aside the shade. The darkness outside makes it very hard to see. So I open the window.
"Hey whisper!" An excited sound hisses.
"Noah?" I ask curiously.
"Yeah. Is your parents home?"
"Yes they're here." I reply.
I wait for his response but seems like he left. I roll my eyes. God why would you give such amazing looks to a weird guy like him?
Soon the doorbell rings and I dash downstairs to see Noah talk with my parents.
"Hey honey!" Mom says aknowledging my presence.
"Hey. Um what are you doing here?" I ask turning to Noah.
"I just wanna get familiar with the neighborhood And I thought you might be able to help me." He says casually.
Dad expresses an amazed look." I thought I would never live to see this day! A boy here for Jo?!"
Noah stars laughing lightly."She'll be happy to help you" mom says secretly hitting dad on his stomach with her elbow.
" Who said I'm happy to help him?" I ask.
"Your mom did. Now go on and change into something nice and help out your friend." Dad orders walking back to the living room.
Well I feel useless anyway so might as well help someone.
Within a few minutes I change into a track pant and stripped tee. I tie my long hair into a bun leaving some small strand of hairs to hang above my eyes.I reach back downstairs and say goodbye to my parents and head out with Noah.
"You look pretty cute." He compliments as we reach a car parked opposite to my house.
"I know." I reply grinning.
Noah takes out a key from his pocket and motions me to get in. I settle quickly and turn to look at him.
"So where do you wanna start?" I ask.
"Oh actually I'm gonna take you somewhere." He says starting the engine.
I raise my right eye brow.
"I thought you didn't know any of the places around.""I just said that to get you out of the house." He says without taking his eyes off the road.
"Well you better bring me back without a scratch." I warn and rest my head on the seat watching the car lapse trees and street signs.
"Sure thing whisper."
