Cindy's POV
I stare at Joan's birthday gift for me. Tears fill up my eyes on the slightest memory of her. I battle with myself about opening the present. Finally I decide to open it.
I pick up the object and tear the paper covering it. I finish removing the final price of wrapper and hold it out to see. I sob silently at the gift.
"Jo....you can't leave me.." I cry hugging the huge canvas that has mine and Joan's baby photo portrayed in different shades of colors.
As I let go of the canvas a paper falls from behind. I sniff and wipe my eyes before getting down on the floor to pick up the neatly folded paper.
I open it carefully. The face of a girl and boy....Joan and Noah is sketched on to the paper in black ink. Their face displays uncontrollable happiness. So much of love. And at the bottom of the paper is a sentence scribbled. A sentence which makes me break into sobs again.
Not even death can tear us apart love.

A/N: the picture portrayed on the canvas is the photo Noah took from Joan's mom in chapter 6.
