chapter 22

Joan's POV

" Uh uh. There is no way I'm getting outta this shop now." I say folding my arms.

Noah has been trying to get me out into the rain which shows no sign of stopping soon.

"Oh come on. Rain is not gonna eat you up. It'll be fun whisper." He pleads giving me the puppy eyes.

"Don't give me the puppy eyes. I'm not gonna fall for it. I will stay here until the rain stops." I declare.

Noah looks defeated for a fraction of minutes but quickly regains his cheerful look.

"Holy shit!!! Grim reaper!!" He shouts pointing behind me.

I turn my head as fast I can, almost injuring my neck.

A hand grabs on my wrist pulling me into the heavy rain as I glance at the empty space behind me.

"Got ya!!" Noah screams between his wicked laugh.

"Noah!!!" I groan as he runs pulling me behind him.

We stop halfway from the shop. I probably resemble a wet dog especially with my panting.

Noah stares at me, his mischievous eyes twinkling beneath the bangs of hair that is covering his forehead.

"Now isn't this fun whisper?" He asks walking with his arm open wide, as if he isn't drenched enough.

I pull over my hoodie silently cursing him.

"Aw don't be a sour face." Noah says tossing the hoodie from my head.

I open my mouth to complain but stop as Noah jumps into the puddle of water in front of us, splashing all of it on me.

"No one's gonna know..... Just stab the idiot and run away."  My inner voice plots as I try to calm myself.

"Come on whisper!!it's so fun!!" He screams jumping.

"No no no. I'm not gonna jump in a puddle like some crazy kid. Never in my life." I declare.

A few moments later.

"Oh my God!! This is awesome !" I shout jumping in the puddle.

"I know!" Noah joins.

We play in the rain for about an hour before deciding to walk back home.

"Whoa tonight was pretty cool!" I exclaim as I step inside my room.

"I agree. Well I'm gonna head out now. See you tomorrow whisper." Noah says leaning to the window from the branch.

I'm pretty sure this guy is connected with either Tarzan or Mowgli.

"See you Noah." I wave as he gives me a final smile before climbing down.

I check the time on my phone.
3:10 am

I badly want the day to get over soon. I want to see the moon take it's place in the sky along with the twinkling stars. I've grow to love the night. All thanks to him.....my handsome adventure.
