Noah's POV
I change into some dry clothes as soon as I sneak into my room.
A knock on the door startles me.
"Noah open up." Mom's voice booms through the door.I run my hand through my hair in panic. She probably knows about me sneaking off at night.
"Noah?" She bangs on the door louder.
"Ya comin!" I call out reaching for the door.
"Hey what are you doing at this time?" I ask laughing nervously.
She doesn't reply instead she place her arms on her hip and gives me a 'shouldn't I be asking that to you' look.
Genuinely, I love when she gives me the looks. It's like her actions speak better than her words. Once she almost killed me with her death stare after seeing my test marks.
"I just didn't feel like sleeping." I shrug.
"Why is you hair wet?" She asks ruffling it.
"Well....since I was not feeling sleepy I took a..um... shower?" I say but it comes out more like a question.
"You took a shower at this time?"
"Uh huh . Yeah.."
And the award for worst liar goes to Noah Daniel."Well alright then." She says and turns to walk back to her room.
I sigh in relief.
"Hope you had a good time with Joan!" She shouts closing her door.I feel the blood drain off my body as I stare at the her bedroom door with wide eyes.
I look at my arms doubtfully. I'm pretty sure that my mom has injected a GPS chip into my body when I was a kid.
The bedroom door opens and mom peeps through the door.
"Honey I did not install a GPS in you. Mom's know what their kids do. Now stop staring at my door and get to sleep. Goodnight." She Slams the door while I process the whole situation.
Joan's POV
"Levine! We have a zombie in the house!" Dad screams on seeing me.
"Good morning to you too Dad." I greet flopping onto the chair.
"Hey honey." Mom greets placing a cup of coffee before me.
"Hi Mom." I say a bit tiredly.
"Oh, Noah came a few minutes ago. He asked for you to call him as soon as you're up." Mom reports refilling Dad's coffee cup.
I gobble up the breakfast and kiss my parents and dash to my bedroom.
"Slow down flash!" Dad calls behind me.
I close the door and look around the room trying to remember where I saw the phone last.
I throw all the clothes from my bed and pick up the phone, buried in them.Sitting on the bed I call Noah. The phone barely completes the second bell when Noah's voice greets me.
A smile made it's way on my lips."you're the first person to attend my call this fast."
I hear a small chuckle from his side." You're the first person for who's call I've waited this eagerly."
His words just made my day.
"Well why did you come earlier?""Well I thought that we could have a movie marathon....if you're free." He says. I can sense a bit of nervousness in his voice.
"The only time I'm never free is when I'm with food."
"Considering that you're a living grocery store, I think you're never free then." He jokes.
A small laugh escapes my mouth but I quickly change my tone.
"Now shut up and get here with the movies smartass."On my way mam."
I cut the phone and smile. Just thinking about him makes me happy. If this is how love feels, I wanna fall in love every day, every minute and every second of my life.
