Joan's POV
"good morning beautiful people. Are you ready to face this beautiful day?" I stretch my cheeks to form the longest smile I can and stare at my parents who are eating breakfast at the small round table that perfectly accomodate the three of us.And when I say small round table, it's not because we are poor. We are definitely not poor. My parents are are loaded. But they are one of those people who likes to lead a very humble life caring for the people around them. And Iam extremely proud of them.
" Um.. you are kinda scaring me with your smile dear daughter." Dad says pouring chocolate syrup on his pancakes. He is a chocolate addict.
"She's just excited about going to school. And enough with the chocolate syrup Adam." Mom says taking away the syrup bottle from dad.
"Ya who doesn't like going to school? Classes filled with hormonal teenagers, over crowded cafeterias, detentions......and so goes on the wonderful things." I mock mom taking the syrup mom took away from dad. I'm a chocolate addict too.
"Well said daughter." Day says giving me a high five.
Mom raise one of her eye brows."seriously Adam?"
"Anyway I have an emergency case to attend so I'll be going ." Mom says picking up her coat.
Both my parents are surgeons and they love their job. While I fall unconscious even at the sight of a needle.
"I have an emergency case which will cost me my life if I don't attend, so I'll get going too." I say licking the last of chocolate syrup stuck on the fork.
" Okay. Have fun at school honey." Mom says placing a kiss in my cheek.
" Try not to kill anyone tiger." Dad kisses the top of my head.
" I'll try my best dad. Although no promises." I say opening the door ready to face the darn last week of hell.
