I felt sick. Reiner, Annie, Bertholdt... I thought they were good people. I guess I was wrong.

I had to tell the other cadets.

Cannons went off. A plume of smoke rose into the air. I decided to check it out. Kitz lay face down on the ground. Yao was stabbing someone with a large red device of some sort. Blood flew everywhere.

"KANEKI!" Touka came running out of the shadows. "YAO WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?"

"He's a ghoul, aru" Yao replied while maiming the kid.

"NO HE ISN'T!" Touka yelled.

I dropped down beside Touka. "She's right" Actually I had no idea. "He isn't a ghoul. He's an ordinary kid I saw working at a coffee shop"

Yao growled. "Suit yourself. Not my fault if he eats you in middle of night"

Touka slapped Yao across the face, then picked up Kaneki and left.

"Stupid Westerners" Yao grumbled as he fled the scene.

Kitz stood up. A blonde kid walked out of the smoke. Right. Armin. I turned around into Jean.

"Marco, what are you doing here?" He asked.

"I just thought I would check on everyone" I said.

"Alright, let's go find people, I guess" Jean said as he took off. I followed him. And immediately ran into Annie, Reiner, and Bertholdt.

"Hello, Marco" Reiner said. He made a motion, and Annie took my 3DMG off.

"What are you doing?" I asked.

"Keeping out secret safe" Annie said. "There. Let's go"

So that's how I ended up on a roof with no 3DMG and with titans coming at me from everywhere. Embrace death, Marco I told myself. I'll be in a better place....

A titan grabbed me. So. This is the end, for me. I closed my eyes and waited for teeth to cut through my skin.

It never happened.

I'll be doing a book two after I finish writing the orientation (?) when Jean and the others join the survey corps
