Lying To Your Children

“All those lies they fed us when we were little, permanent emotional scars. The boogieman hides in your closet and he’ll come out to get you if you don’t go to bed. Monsters crawl outside in the night to keep us inside. The man with the child napping sack that would get you if you don’t behave. They think they’re doing good by scaring us into good behavior, but they just created their own worst little nightmares. The adults thought they could use these lies to control us. They have no idea what they really did to us. Well, no more…”

That was the speech Edward gave his newly assembled killing team. He and the rest of the neighborhood children planned their attacks on their parents for making them scared of the dark, for making them imagine things that weren’t really there, for making them feel like they were being constantly watched. It was beginning to feel like they were living in a prison.

“Tonight, we teach them a lesson.”

They all went home with their deadly intentions.

The next morning, breaking news were all over the media. All the houses in that tiny little town that had children in it had police cars and ambulances in their front yards. They all suffered a terrible fate.

The first house, Jimmy’s, his parents were found with their throats cut, blood covered the stairways he dragged his parents down to place their bodies under the Christmas tree he put up and a note left saying “You should’ve gone to bed, he sees when you are sleeping, he knows when you’re awake.” –Santa.

The second house, Aly’s. Her parents were found in bed. Their chests covered in blood. They were both stabbed a multiple amount of times before she proceeded to take a pliers and rip their teeth out, of course, how much strength can a little girl have? She didn’t succeed in removing any teeth, but she left both their mouths covered in blood and filled with broken teeth. A note was found saying- “Sorry about your teeth.” –Tooth fairy.

The third house. Both parents were found in the closet of their bedroom. Both of them had their throats cut and then their stomachs mutilated. Their guts spewed all over the area where they were laid overlapping one another.

The fourth house, Kenny’s. His parents were found out in their backyard. They were beheaded. But by various attempts. Their necks were cut a several amount of times. It looked like he tried over and over, cutting and cutting until their heads were finally separated from their bodies.

And lastly, Edward's house. His parents were found not far away from the house in the woods. They were put in a sack and were dragged out there then the sack was lit on fire.

All of the children are missing. No traces left of where they could've gone. None of them has been seen or heard from.
