I don’t mind working in the morgue, cleaning corpses and prepping them...the only part I hate is when they blink on the autopsy table.

While brushing my teeth I idly stared at myself in the mirror. Upon finishing brushing my teeth, I stop and fix my hair, when I notice my reflection blink and smile at me.

One night while sitting alone I received a skype call, the name a bunch of random symbols and letters. I, of course, answered it and what I saw still haunts me to this day. A webcam window opened and all I saw in the window was a video of myself from the window behind me.

After having toured hundreds of “Murder” houses allegedly inhabited by ghosts, James found no such “ghost” existed. Upon entering the ragged house, and meeting the tour guide he asked, “Who was murdered here?” The tour guide looked him in the eye, a large smile from ear to ear forming, as he said, “You.”

Living alone in the wild isn’t all that bad, as long as you can get past the strange tracks that start from nowhere, circle your house, and stop in front of your window.

One night while sitting at my computer I heard the dog bark outside. I immediately slapped my forehead and went to the door, opening it and letting my poor dog in. I froze in terror as I saw she was in the reflection...as was the creature I just let in.

Another quiet day walking through the park. It’s funny looking back at how noisy these places used to be. Walking down the road past all the cars and seeing my reflection in the store I entered years ago...It’s funny looking back on it, a man once approached me here and told me I have one wish, asking me what I wanted. I hesitantly said “Immortality,” and now all I wish is that I died with everyone else.

While walking down the stairs to the basement, carrying an old box of paint supplies to repaint a dingy old room, I closed the door behind me and set the box down in the center of the room, turning around only to be met with a blank wall.

I have been a co for twenty years, being called out to drunken fights and morons playing with guns, but today was different. I parked my car at the front of a house that had a “burglary in progress.” Backup was on its way, but the house was oddly quiet. I made my way in through the front door when I saw a dead dog laying on the floor. It was hardly recognizable. I ran up the stairs and opened a door leading to what I assumed was the owner’s room, leaving the door wide open behind me. The lights went out, and the door slammed shut. The last thing I never saw, now breathing down my neck.
